“ Hate to send you on a wild goose chase.”
    Followed by
“If I press charges on him now can I drop them later?”

0:23 I totally agree that he saw maddie like a normal person sees a child like a father/step father who has a bond with his step child would. I feel that JS and SS saw her in a different way. They had to constantly make people believe that she was her diagnos. They had such an impact on her overall personality, behaviour, life, they were doing terrible things to her, the whole focus became painting her in a certain way to protect themselves from discovery.
JS had to disengage and close herself off from maddie to justify allowing the abuse and to keep SS happy. SS had his own version of her in his own deprived way and they didn't see who she really was. Also, she would be able to be her truer self around people she felt safe and loved by that is just my opinion.

Hi Gavin, new sub here, but Steven Young (besides Maddie’s bio dad) is the first adult in Maddie’s life that described her in a non-clinical way: he saw her a kid, a blooming person, a big personality. Not just a sum of DSM5 symptoms. The complexities of her life and surroundings make this case so bizarre, so unexpected, so heartbreaking. Jenn and Stephan are inept and weird, the Stearns had to deal with Peter Pan, we aren’t hearing much from Jenn’s family, Maddie’s bio dad loved her but there was drama between Jenn and Maddie’s stepmom, and here - in Steven Young - we have the most loving, grounded parent. At least he was in her life for part of it, so sad Jenn couldn’t overcome her setbacks so that she didn’t end up with the mega-creep SS. Stearns came into Jenn’s life at the ultimatum cost: her daughter’s safety, for years, until it climaxed to the final act. Jenn had so much time, so much opportunity, to have acted. The pot finally boiled over.

There's not an autism 'test'. They do an assessment for autism. Insurance won't cover an additional assessment. Having autism diagnosis doesn't always mean a person requires treatment for it BUT parents who don't want to commit to therapies may give some excuse or backtrack on it. OR how about this? Maybe JS never had her assessed/diagnoed but told people she had been then had to introduce a new scenario because she didn't realize that autism is a pervasive developmental disorder (not a personality disorder) and couldn't be a label to just used to sever parents needs or explain inappropriate behavior resulting from abuse and neglect.

Gavin, I came across your channel a couple weeks ago during one of your Madeline Soto lives I enjoy watching you and I feel like you’re very intelligent and you really try to give a balance viewpoint so I hope you see this . there’s a thing that I have noticed that nobody seems to point out that Jennifer Soto and her mother have a very toxic relationship and her mother raised her to not only be codependent and pass that along to Madeline. The sleeping arrangement is a really good example of the codependent relationship that she had with her child. As well as instilled in Jennifer Soto with a very toxic view of men she in at least one interview talks about how her mom “put it in her body” not to trust men and I feel that that’s being highly overlooked and it’s a really important factor in why Jennifer Soto is where she’s at today .
when you are told by your parent that you can’t trust people, you are literally being filled with an improper view of the world and unnecessary anxiety and a inability to properly judge anybody .
People are so surprised by her behavior, but Jennifer Soto is high all the time on multiple benzodiazepine’s and other antipsychotic medication so she is very disconnected from reality. Somebody who is not grounded in themselves and trusting themselves cannot make proper judgments of somebody else and then they have the layer of a mother who makes you think that all men are untrustworthy that’s a recipe for disaster.
With an upbringing like Jennifer Sotos, there is no way that she knows what a healthy relationship is or what love is . She would have never and could never love or give Madeline the proper attention that she needed because she doesn’t know how to do that RIP Madeline Soto I pray for you to get your justice every single day it embrace my heart that you were unfortunately born to somebody who could not love you the way that you needed to be loved.

Its so sad that Jen and Maddies life was so much more functional and healthy when she was married to this guy. Maddie and his daughter Ash had their own separate bedrooms. It was only when SS entered their life that everything went freaky and unnatural. Jen started on drugs. Then Maddie's life spiraled into a Hell on Earth for her!!!! Predator Monster entered the scene. SS deliberately damaged and divided the mother/daughter bond for his own selfish and perverted agenda.

Not everyone is same. There are varying degrees of severity, some people can take longer to find medications/treatments that are effective for them, there’s treatment resistant illness, fluctuations in illness, inability to afford meds and treatment, the list goes on. Given that, if you are unable to properly care for your children due to ANY circumstances, mental health or otherwise, as a parent, it is 💯 your responsibility to provide them with alternative care, whether temporary or permanent, not just to keep them for a monthly cheque.

People may say that Jenn is a good mom, but a good mom doesn't drug up at night to the point of incapacitation. A good mom doesn't send her kid to a man's bedroom or let a man sleep in bed with her kid. Any single parent that takes drugs strong enough to "knock them out" or make them "sleep like the dead" is being neglectful! Plenty of people need mental health drugs but don't take ones that endanger their kids or make them unable to care for a child! I would never take sleeping meds or even "nighttime" OTC meds with my kids in the house unless my husband was home and knew I was taking something!

There are just some things or some times that you don’t want certain people to know entire truths. @GF , Jenn’s mom said in her interview with the police that she didn’t know why she didn’t like him . But she said she didn’t .
I thought it was interesting too . No one suspected him .
Jen volunteered the information that she sent them to bed like she was telling them it was time for dinner .
I questioned a lot of things about Jen , but I got all of my answers .
It’s interesting that so many people want her punished but they don’t have any evidence that she knew because the police said they didn’t have any .
She’s mentally unstable and on strong medication . Of course she’s acting different than the average people would , that’s why he chose her .
They did look at her digital life and they told Chris stearns there’s no evidence she knew or was involved .
Way back in July I believe when he went to the Kissimmee police department wanting to know why Jen hadn’t been arrested .
The police said Stephan was in on it all by himself .
And Maddie wasn’t his first victim . He’s being charged with a minor under 5 and there were thousands of pictures of other kids . So many that the police said they could never identify all of the children .
Idk why you want her punished and no one that wants it seems to be able to say why with any evidence .
Look at the Chris stearns video where he goes to Kissimmee and wants to know why she’s not under arrest . She’s his latest victim and he’s in it on his own .

in 5 years, did she do her own kids laundry?
Could she not tell, that SOMETHING was wrong, in just the chronic constipation???
And WHAT MOTHER SENDS her daughter to bed with her boyfriend?
Willfully neglecting parental responsibilities, is against the law.
Failure to protect a minor child, against the law.

Even though the police say she got no money , and there’s no evidence that she was involved , and Stephan worked alone ?
Or that 2 people can be punished ? Why would anybody other than the predator need to be punished.
Do they want her punished for being a bad mother ? For being mentally ill ? For being stupid ?
It seems very strange to me that people don’t see Jen as the target of the predator ? She’s obviously the perfect mark . But not as good as the parents of the other victims one of which is under 5 !
Those people have never charged Stephan or come forward . Are they all predators or victims ?
By this logic we’d have to punish every parent of a child that’s been molested . And we’d have more people in prison than out !
I serious question if this was 1950 and it was a town hall rather than the global internet if this isn’t the same process that occurred with lynchings ?
People that believed things based on emotions rather than facts were enraged and harmed people .
I don’t mean that’s what they’re intentionally doing but I wonder how different this is from how that happened ? If we’re better , worse ? Or evolved at all or a little from that . I think it’s strange but an undeniable human experience

While we don’t know the extent of Jenn’s knowledge or participation, it’s 💯 not normal to have a child sleeping between you and your boyfriend every night or sending off to bed just the two of them, mental health issues or not. slept together - or jen took drugs to not hear or see it - She is at fault - I feel bad for Steven Y because he doesnt want to believe Jen is bad but he doesnt know - Jen's family also at fault they knew something was up - but families unfortunately do not speak up likenthey should - we see that over and over again

Who could stand that kind of stress and not have trouble thinking straight? Let's focus on the pile of garbage who is the actual murderer and stop victim blaming Jenn.
