Just to pointing you out, Neptune's mass was locked, hence why it didn't disintegrated like Uranus did.
I guess it also helps you make planets that are super close to a star without it disintegrating.

Does this simulation account for pulsating nature of Stephenson 2-18? It's diameter will vary wildly. I can't remember the periodicity or how small it is at its trough.
Yeah, stephenson 2-18's variability type isn't known and hence we cannot determine its pulsation period either, but my guess is that it is probably a pulsating variable star, due to its late stage in life and its instability.
