Nice hunt, GooooooLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDD! You are right, that was once a Coastal Artillery gun emplacement, it had a “disappearing” gun. If you look at the sea wall , you can see some outcrops that look “after market”. Those are also gun emplacements. I have never found any of the old cartridges though. Great hunt, that is one of my favorite places to hunt. Thanks for bringing us along my friend.

Not so much, but it’s Texas and I take advantage of the open carry law and try to never hunt alone.
