'LIVE FROM MANHATTAN CENTER ‘99' features three previously unreleased live tracks recorded for the U.K. TV show Top Of The Pops but not broadcast at the time. The recording was made at the same venue as David’s VH1 Storytellers performance, two days prior.

“Wednesday born” is right because 8th January 1947 was a Wednesday, but like Thursday’s child in the old nursery rhyme, Bowie had “a long way to go” rather than being like Wednesday’s child who was “full of woe”. So Wednesday born, but in spirit, Thursday’s child.
