This song is a masterpiece. IOLANDA THE Voice, lyrics, music and the entire performance. 'Grito' is the mirror of your soul. The dancers represent their state of mind throughout the song. Top1
Thanks for this reaction. In terms of results the only thing we know is that noble passed in 6th. the other five were presented in random order without knowing their classification(we only know that they were the top 5
We don't know who won and what place the songs got in the semi finals. They just reveal the names of the artists who got through the final. We will know only after final the semi finals votes like in ESC
Iolanda was the winner of semi 1 no doubt, and will win festival da canção for sure. Thank you for your comment, you always make very interesting analyses, it shows that you like music in its true essence
Portugal did ok with the first 5 selections. The televote-only 6th choice was not needed, it could have been none-of-the-above. Since last year, picking Mimicat, I think the public is ready for more interesting songs, so it is either the broadcaster or the song writers that need to meet the demand. Songs can still be made to be very Portuguese without being overly simply and clunky.
Don’t look away buddy, you miss quite a few things when it comes to the performance… I know you were vibing with ‘O Grito’ but you missed some of the nicest choreography moves. Just a little thing to look into next time. But happy you enjoyed ‘O Grito’. It wasn’t my favourite, but it is now, everything is perfect! Hoping FILIPA does an amazing job in sf2, she was my favourite.
I dont care too much bcs it worked as a whole. If you focus on other things than artist, you can bet, the song wont work. But its a good point for a review, not rly for reaction. Rly thx!!
@@JanBors Just saying, it’s a whole package. But it’s your video, and if it’s how you like doing things, nothing wrong with that, was just pointing it out, not criticising. ☺️🙌
thats why it was so good, as everything on the stage supported her and the song. You can immediatly live with it naturally, seemlesly. Without thinking ✌️❤️
Pertinent Reviews. Liked very much. THE BEST SONG from Festival "Iolanda - 'Grito' (Scream)"- MY Analysis and English Lyrics (adaptation) ANALYSIS: "Grito", presents a compelling narrative of resilience, transformation, and self-empowerment. The song uses the metaphor of fire to symbolize the undying spirit of the protagonist, emphasizing themes of endurance, healing, and self-realization. Themes like: Vulnerability and Surrender: (sense of awareness and sensitivity, possibly hinting at the anticipation of change or the buildup of emotional energy. Speaks to letting go of control, a leap of faith into the unknown. This surrender isn't about giving up but about embracing the process of transformation). Liberation: "I want to let go of what left me hurt" is a clear desire to release past pains and burdens. This act of letting go is necessary for healing and moving forward. Renewal: for instance in asking the "mother star to make the day rise again" symbolizes a plea for rebirth, a fresh start, and the hope that comes with a new day. Transformation: "I transformed every verse of me" indicates profound personal growth and change. The individual is not the same as before; She has evolved through her experiences. Persistence: The repeated phrase "It still burns" emphasizes ongoing struggle and resilience. Despite challenges, her spirit and determination remain unquenched. Self-assertion: "Today I want to prove myself / That I can be whatever I want" reflects a strong sense of self-belief and ambition. She is determined to define her own identity and future. Forgiveness: "Forgive anyone who wanted to see me suffer" shows maturity and emotional liberation. Forgiveness is presented as a step towards healing and empowerment. Resilience: The imagery of being a "flame that still burns" throughout the song symbolizes resilience in the face of adversity. She continues to shine and endure, regardless of past pains and challenges. Self-empowerment: The journey from vulnerability to strength, from darkness to light, encapsulates the theme of self-empowerment. She actively transforms her pain into power, asserting control over her destiny. Healing and Growth: The song portrays healing as an active and dynamic process. It's about moving through pain, embracing change, and growing stronger in the process. Iolanda's 'Grito' (Scream), is a powerful anthem of perseverance, self-discovery, and empowerment. It encourages listeners to embrace their vulnerabilities, let go of the past, and ignite their inner strength to face the future with courage and hope. Iolanda and the Goosebumps .... so many reactions feeling it... is like a puré art ...... this is feeling no fireworks !!!
Iolanda is amazing!❤
Actually they will only tell the points in the final, they just called the names of the finalists randomly 😅
this is the best option! :)
Obrigada❤️ My favorites are Iolanda and João Borsch, i am very curious to see what Filipa is going to bring on the second semifinal next week.
Beautiful Iolanda This is music ❤
yes!
I think the qualifiers order was just the running order. "Grito" was the best by far. I loved "Volto a ti", so sad he is not in the final.
I absolutely agree with you
thx!

LYRICS
Scream ("Grito")
I heard, I felt
The body charging
We continue like this
One and the other
One and the other
One and the other
I am free fall
I'll warn you when I get there
I surrender here
Little by little
Big steps, stuck in the starting line
I want to let go of what left me wounded
I ask the mother star to make the day
Rise anew
I transformed every verse of myself
And surrendered to the courage
That still burns
Still burns
The light beats in the chest and opens it
I am a flame that still burns
Still burns
Still burns
Today I want to prove to myself
That I can be whatever I want
Gather those who love me at a table
Forgive those who wanted to see me suffer
They don't fool me! (No!)
I am all sizes
I still remember when I was small
And dreamt first
Big steps, stuck in the starting line
Today, I let go of what left me wounded
And I ask the mother star to make the day
Rise anew
I transformed every verse of myself
And surrendered to the courage
That still burns
Still burns
The light beats in the chest and opens it
I am a flame that still burns
Still burns
Still burns
I am a flame that still burns
Still burns
I am a flame that still burns
Still burns
Burns
Burns
Burns
I transformed every verse of myself
And surrendered to the courage
That still burns
Still burns
The light beats in the chest and opens it
I am a flame thаt still burns
Still burns
Still burnѕ
thx!!!! :)
There are no winners or places in the semi-finals, only in the final, like in Eurovision.
