    I think this is a must have for anyone that goes 3+ days without driving their car or just to make sure you have a full charge. Get yours or any OEM part from 404parts.com

      Yeah after I came back from vacation and went a couple more days without starting it would t turn over. Had to charge it up. So I may have a bad battery or alternator alternator. Going to get it checked out.

    When I saw it on the option sheet, naive' me thought he'd be getting a wired-in charger. When I got the car, it had a little box in it with this not-first-rate battery charger in it. My advice as a Corvette C7 owner? (1) get a marine-quality power outlet socket with a weatherproof cap and get it installed in the passenger side rear bumper valance and (2) get a Battery Tender charger, not the toy Chevrolet sells you. That way you'll keep your battery charged and you won't have to have your trunk or door open to charge it (see #1).

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree Chevy should have made better car wiring. Something where your not closing a car or lid on a energized wire. That's my biggest complaint. I beat up the unit pretty hard and was always dropping it on garage floor. I will say it is built decently strong and never had any issues. But agree fully. Chevy really should have made this a easier and more permanent in vette. It's a car that's not always a daily driver. And some people garage for entire winter. Having something cracked slightly and seal broken could let moths or bugs into car.

    Bro, this is why I have a red top optima battery and a billet 270 amp alternator in my 2009 Z06 I changed out my head unit to a pioneer touchscreen 8 JL Audio C7 Speakers in 4 sets of 8.0/ 6.5/ 3.0/ 1.0 then 4 JL Audio Amps 2 RD 1500/1 for Subs 2 1000/4 for the speakers then after a head, a yellow top Optima Battery and also a red top optima battery under the hood in front and also a
    Billet Alternator with 270amps
    But it’s always good to have that to check your system. It’s a great tool and also a back up jumper pack with boost just in case your batteries do die I bought a Mac tool lithium ion battery jumpstart pack USB charger takes about four hours to charge and has negative and positive clams to hook up to your battery to charge.
    The other day I have a 2019 Kia optima that was sitting on the driveway for literally three weeks and when I went to go start at the battery was just totally depleted because a interior light was left on for over 21 days we try jumpstarting it and it wouldn’t hit it up. The battery was really down to and it’s the original battery when I put that Mac tool Jump starter pack on it turn the key didn’t start it up and turn the key. Saw the car powered on hooked up the clamps to the terminal hit the boost button went back into the car and it started right up. What a great fucking time to have. It has emergency flashlights on it USB, charging ports and the optional area to have a 12 V outlet as well. I spent 280 on that and one of the best emergency jumpstart pack and Mac tool had the number one on Amazon again it was 280 on Amazon everywhere else it was gone for like $350 to $375

    Another must-have accessory in your car is a back up belt with a 50 piece ratchet set just in case you need to change out a belt and also a AAA card that goes along with my friends for a tow lockout battery jump emergency gas I wouldn’t get the basic I would get the premium plan because if you’re far away from home, it gives you up to 120 mile toll The basic only gives you I think up to 20 or 25 miles $120 a year is nothing and then also if you have a AAA card you can pay your registration at the AAA office instead of going to the DMV and on top of that you get discounts at hotels car rentals so many perks to have them that membership

    Is there a proper procedure for removal when taking off? I understand when you plug in its always cigarette connection first; then remove from wall. Just wondering if it matters. Lastly, should it be disconnected from sources during bad weather? So when power goes in/out I'm wondering if the trickle protects?

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol that's recommended on any car brother. Stereos, security systems, and comforts just slowly pull battery power. Chances are you go months and months ths and nothing will ever happen. But it prolongs battery life and with mods I've done I'm pushing the max of my alternator a little. That'd upgradable too 😁
