One thing I see from the Bears this season is that they don’t work on speed training in season, they look slow overall. No deep threat all year and Tyler Scott can’t get on the Field. DJ Moore Can’t get open deep either. Linebackers look slow. The Bears need a speed coach and that needs to be an emphasis this off season
@Gatf4 - D.J. Moore thrived in Justin Field's system of throwing darts and many passes on the move. DB's can't guard D.J. Moore after the initial route. He is very shifty.

Based on pressure rate, he’s the 9th most pressured QB in football. How does that equate to 10 more sacks than the next guy? A 10% completion percentage vs Daniels? A generational talent shouldn’t be last among starters across the board.
Ideal scenario for me is: Hire Ben Johnson, don’t extend Keenan or Tev, extend Pryor, Shelton, Darrell Taylor, then give Trey Smith however much he wants, trade back from 9 to the mid 20s and get a second and third. draft Walter Nolen, with the three seconds take Hampton, Umanmielen, and Jake Majors. In the third, take a receiver and Membou and kick him inside. In the later rounds take a tight end and kicker. That’s four new pieces on the o line, a run stopper to work in with Dex and Billings, and one of the best pass rushers in the class opposite Sweat.
Draft: Banks or Will Campbell first round; second round: Mike Green or Landon Johnson or Fannim from Bowling Green to learn from Cole Kmet. FA: Trey Smith from Kansas City or Brandon Scherff. I've been aware of Scherff since he played high school at Denison-Schleswig and a Hawkeye.
I wouldn't mind us picking up Tyler Warren, TE from Penn State If he slips to the second round. Shades of Brock Bowers... Use all other pics on offensive line. Bring in an offensive coordinator with vast experience in running 2 Tight End packages. Warren and Kmet would be tough to deal with. Kmet is so underutilized.
I sure hope the new coach has more player of choice over Poles.. I mean, just an example.. we picked Swift over Barkley, Henry, Jacobs, etc.. and those were best RBs.. we just always go for the "cheaper" route.. i just think we never try and get THE guy at any position.. I sure hope we can at least put some effort into trying just a little harder at constructing a solid roster all around.
HC: Johnson O-Line: Braxton Jones, (Will) Campbell, Ryan Kelly, Trey Smith, Wright. Kiran Swing Tackle & Shelton Swing IOL. Next players in the draft would be either TJ Sanders/Walter Nolen with an Edge rusher good against the run. My pick is Jack Sawyer. WR 3 either Keenan or Demarcus Robinson. I want to see some O Line that play freaking pissed off and willing to fight every down and then some. We need O Linemen in a bad way, but we do need a back that is going to beat down the D Line preferably.
You upgrade the interior starters. If you can upgrade the LT yes. You would be surprised how great the OT would look if there was room for CW to step up. The Bears had 6 players on Rookie contracts along the OL. That has to be taken into account. Jones has performed better at LT than Wright has at RT.
How can everyone talk about the terrible o-line and big reason Caleb struggled and not give that pass to Deandre swift..??! O-line is huge for him too!!!
What would your guys opinions be on drafting jeanty, if we had a great signing like a trey smith or a proven guard who we get for a four year would you take it
And therein lies the problem with Sweat. You said it, he's not a blue chip player, but Poles paid him like one. He dropped off massively after getting paid.
I don't see anything going right in the off-season with the bears like you said the the front office the owners the coaches everything about the bears are screwed up including the players I'm getting tired of hearing about Ben Johnson already I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see any improvement in this team this has been going on for 20 years or longer now that's all we ever keep hearing about is how they're going to improve how are they going to do this how are they going to do that it never happens with this ownership the mccaskey's need to let go of this team already and sell it to somebody who knows football and cares about a winning team

On paper, going into this season the O Line looked good, with some question marks. Then those question marks decided to introduce themselves to the world and our O Line turned to crap. I want to see some O Line that play freaking pissed off and willing to fight every down and then some. We need O Linemen in a bad way, but we do need a back that is going to beat down the D Line preferably.
Definitely need O-Linemen. 7th pick and the 2 2nd round picks need to be O-Line. I think we've got plenty of weapons.
We will be signing at least 2 free agents to fill part of our OL and DL problems
You upgrade the interior starters. If you can upgrade the LT yes. You would be surprised how great the OT would look if there was room for CW to step up. The Bears had 6 players on Rookie contracts along the OL. That has to be taken into account. Jones has performed better at LT than Wright has at RT.
ME , 1 and 2 ! 3 ... LT if available in draft, then C .... maybe in FA , and good guards .
Yes 4. A thumper RB . Get a better TE to back up Kmet . I'd keep Keenan Allen if Ben J is the coach, see how that works .
How can everyone talk about the terrible o-line and big reason Caleb struggled and not give that pass to Deandre swift..??! O-line is huge for him too!!!
Before you fix the Oline you need to replace CMo
What would your guys opinions be on drafting jeanty, if we had a great signing like a trey smith or a proven guard who we get for a four year would you take it
We need BEN freaking Johnson
Cam skattabo "me"
And therein lies the problem with Sweat. You said it, he's not a blue chip player, but Poles paid him like one. He dropped off massively after getting paid.
Ben Johnson, Hank Fraley, Clint Hurtt, Ray Agnew GM
We need BEN BY THE freaking Johnson
I want the first 5 picks to just be 300lb juggernauts
Ben Johnson would be a start. I think Poles needs to go as well.
I would like Cam Skateboo
I just don't see the Bears getting this offseason right. I want to be proven wrong. But our front office is incompetent af.
Same owners same curse same results. Doesn’t matter who they hire because they’re the owners and they won’t do the right job.
Running back is a necessity in the NFL. They are still very important
How do you not have hope for a 2nd year player?
