- Join Loretta and Jordan on Loretta's open sight muzzleloader elk hunt. With bulls bugling in every direction it was unbelievable amount of rut activity that concludes with one of the incredible moments we've ever witnessed in the elk woods. We also want to express our deepest gratitude for Brian and Jeff Cillessen from @BeyondRubicon . From start to finish this hunt wouldn't not have happened without there knowledge and help. So grateful for their friendship and as you will see they are so good at what they do!
What an epic time!! And the ending was just a cherry on top of the cake ! Just amazing that the 2 came out like that and just wanted to fight, what a great show to witness at the end of his life!! Amazing. Congrats
Thank you very much for watching!
Awesome video! Congratulations young lady, that looked like a very exciting and emotional roller coaster!
Thanks Jaime! Glad you enjoyed it
This was one of the best hunts I've been a part of...and with the finest people!
It was the best because you and Jeff made it happen! Thanks again to you both, and good luck the rest of this week in AZ!
That is a great video! Loved all the emotions, and thank you for being real and showing that sometimes it just doesn't work out!
We agree just want to tell the whole story as best as possible. 🍻
@@TheDrawHuntApplicationService Curious what is the sight system that she is shooting on the muzzleloader?
@@WyattFeltonshe has a Williams Peep sight system on the muzzleloader. We really thought it made a big difference for her to have a similar sight picture as shooting through a scope.
CALDERA!!!! What an epic place ! Great job Loretta ! That bull was fighting to the very end ! Great job guys ! Enjoyed the action and emotion . Elk hunting is in the blood !!
We couldn’t agree more! 🇺🇸🍻
That dive at the end says a lot about a bull's gumption during the rut!
That was what hunting is all about. And now you have meat that tastes so much better every meal knowing you put that on the table!
We agree! Thank you for the comment!
This was epic! 👏🏼
Thank you Alexis! 🍻
Well done young lady! The smile shows it all, and I know your hubby is incredibly proud!!

lol! Thank you, maybe she has a sister? 😂
@@TheDrawHuntApplicationService a guy can only dream! So I can't really tell where you all on a guided hunt or was it DIY?
So the simple answer is we were DIY, that being said the Cillessen brothers @BeyondRubicon have been friends of ours for years, and they have hunted that unit multiple times and offered to come. In all reality I think we would have been lost if it wasn’t for them, they deserve so much credit for this hunt. From coffee in the morning and dinners in the evening they were over the top. They really did make a great tag into a very special memory for us and not just because of the filming.
🙌 there is nothing like it when they are screaming all day long!
That first bull was hit
How many bulls did you guys shoot? just the two that got hit on Cam? I probably woulda stopped at one.. but hey, I'm not trying to be famous making "look at me" videos.. to each their own.
It was pretty clear to me there was only one bull hit and it was the one they harvested.
The law states “Anyone who wounds or may have wounded any big-game species must go to the place where the animal sustained the wound or may have sustained the wound and make a reasonable attempt to track and kill the animal. “
Three experienced individuals followed the letter of the law and verified on the ground and on video the hunter missed. The elk walked away bugling for crying out loud. They did their due diligence. If she had wounded the first elk your comments would have had some validity, which leads to a controversial question that you’re dancing around.
Should hunters be required to punch their tag after wounding an animal?
How many hunters on a once in life time hunt would continue hunting after wounding an animal and not recovering it?
How many bow hunters would have to quit hunting all together ? Do you know research has shown wounding loss from bow hunters can be as high as 50%, but on average 30%. That is horrible.
Could you punch your tag after wounding an animal?
I bet you money you would keep hunting so don’t be a hypocrite.
to each their own? Sounds like you haven't spent much time hunting yourself Anthony? Or maybe you just hunt in high fences or something were misses rarely happen? If you slow it down and watch you can definitely see the bullet was high on the first bull...but to each their own Right?
There is always one in the crowd, congratulations @anthonymanfredi-d8e your comment and your name make you look like a Clown!
There is always someone in the crowd, congratulations Anthony on being a Troll, I am sure everyone you know is proud of you.
@vjgEXP You watch that video from 12:08 to 12:34.. that bull is totally humped up and takin slooow tender wobbly steps cuz his guts are On Fire! You think he came stormin into that meadow stomping everything in site and then crawled out at the speed of smell because that Muzzleloader Blast just hurt his ears? Ya.. Thats probably it.
Did they make a "reasonable" attempt? What's reasonable.. trying for a follow up shot and then callin it a day? That's what the video showed..id say that's the video Editors fault for not brining in more tracking footage. I'm sure they shot it.. why not use it.. poor production value!! My only regret is not having more thumbs to point Down!
