I love the satisfying part
This is actually really good quality videos for such a small channel
Can't wait to see you do more projects in the future
Remember to have fun!
Wow, such an amazing paludarium, this helped me so much.
You need more views and more subscribers! Good job💪
Hi I am from SG too, great videos! Can u share where you bought your crabs from? I am also keen to start on this after watching your videos. Thanks
hihi! Sure, I buy mine from this place called Green Chapter in Macpherson. I am hoping to feature them in my next video as this shop is one of my favourite places to go.
what is the motor that refresh the water how its called?
What the grey things called
Do you have a materials list you used? And did the foam need to have a sealant on it before introducing the crabs.
Every expanding material is probably a little different, but many are aquarium safe
Hi Connor, Yes, i should include a material list in the videos. As mentioned by fishplant, the foam i used was aquarium safe so I didnt need a sealant.
Did you get the crabs from Aquaticarts? I know that they’re either Red Devil Vampire Crabs (Geosesarma Hagen) or Tomato Vampire Crabs (Geosesarma sp.), and Aquaticarts sells most of the vampire crabs.
Hi! Thanks for the question. I didnt get it from there. But looking at the website yes, you could buy it from there. Yup they are a type of Geosesarma. 🙂
How are the crabs going to be able to climb from the water up onto land? That space there at the edge didn't seem to be small enough...but I may be wrong
Hi Gabe! Thanks for the question. They are able to cause they have spidey legs. They could also climb from the side if they wanted cause there is a slope.
you dont use silicone to cover your foam? won't it break down due to water?
Hi Dejon! The foam I use the aquarium safe. So it doesnt breakdown due to water.
What water is that pump pumping? It's not pumping the water from the false bottom is it? Is it pumping the water from the pond it's going into? If it's pumping the water that it's going into how is that water getting back to the pump? I'm wondering because I'm about to build one also.
That's almost definitely how it works, yea
If you want additional tutorials with variations of this method, there's this dope Korean channel you can find if you look up "biotope gallery vampire crab"
He makes really natural looking paludariums and many have waterfalls.
I was wondering the same thing. I wish this person added more tutorial about the water feature
Hi! Thanks for the question. The base of land area is Leca balls - mesh - soil stacked on top each other. So I filled the water as high as the leca balls right before the mesh and soil. The pump is for low water levels. I placed it in the back and when the water pumps it will flow down the stream which is made from a slopping foam. Hope this helps! And yes I probably should have showed more about that part. 🙂
bro where vcan i purchase this crab
Hi! Thanks for the question. Depends on where you are from. If you're in Singapore you can buy them from Green Chapter or in US there is Aquaticarts.
I liked just because you said “crabitat”. I respect it.
