With those real wet spots, would you ever consider digging a pond along the ditch? Hardly worth the effort of ploughing, planting, spraying, fertilising to get a poor crop from it every year. Costs as much to grow a bad bit as a good bit.

Can you use the rain run off from the roofs to fill the sprayer, round the yard or for the cattle? We use alot of rain capture in Horticulture to water the plants and it is the correct pH for the plants.
Yeh could do, did semi look into it but have just put in a bore hole at yard 2 so will utilise that for sprayer more. And cattle no not allowed since a pigeon could be lying dead in the gutter…
Always great videos. Can I ask whu do ye always use boarding on the farm sheds, would vented sheeting on sides and ends of shed be better and lasts a lifetime

Was up Montrose way yesterday, they’ve had some serious run-off from the hills last week, and more today. Lost orchards will be watered down just now.

Will put new drains in soon, also its especially wet at the moment, normally not as bad as now
We had 110mm of rain in 24 hours just 20 miles from Crawford, that’s a lot of water to divert or store. 30 North of us was 170+mm in the same period

Kev uses the fendt otherwise no just whatever. Theres a particular sprayer tractor tho and also fert spreader only wired in one Nh and the fendt
