This video is so helpful! I was going to try and raise up the MB body away from the chassis to clear the steering column. Now I see your much easier way to remove the column forward thru the firewall (and eventually take the tub off of the chassis). So glad I watched this video. Thank you Scott!
I like how you did this with no curse words or difficulty. I, on the other hand, used every curse word word in the book and busted all five knuckles and smooshed a finger. Thanks for the video. I had a hell of a time with the steering wheel and the brake pedal. Bought a 15 piece bearing puller at harbor freight for the steering wheel pull.
the last chance I was lucky on this one. The steering wheel is always a pain in the ... fill in the blank🤭 Soak with penetrating oil, heat, patience. When all else fails...sawzall😃😃😃 I’m only kidding😉
So I run a NAPA and am in the middle of tearing down a 47 CJ2A. Watch your videos daily now. Needed a wrench to fit my oil drain plug and in browsing the catalog today, came across a drag link socket made by Carlyle! I 'collect' tools and wanted this, even though your socket worked perfect. If anyone would like one thats purpose made like me, SDL3822 is the NAPA part number. Thanks again for making these great videos!!!
I can tell you from experience that it NEVER comes apart that easily if it’s been on for years and left to the weather prepare your self for a load of knuckle bustin and heavy cursin!😆🤪

Are the exhaust and intake manifold Required to be removed to remove the steering box and steering column as in your video? I noticed that the exhaust pipe has been detached from the exhaust manifold.... Thanks John

What bolt is not in the frame at the top of the "V" formed by the bolts for the box top two steering box screws and then a blank hole in the middle ?

No, it is possible to take The Who unit out without removing the manifolds.👍
