They were a perfect blend . They’re voices on another level.
It doesn’t matter how many times I hear this it never gets old and tired. I never stop being amazed at their perfect blend and the unmatched beauty of their voices.
Blue eyed soul baby, no Audio tune, no audio help, just them and raw talent.
Again, another great hit by my guys from the 60s. They rocked us teenagers in this era. I used to go to sleep listening to their beautiful voices together. ❤❤❤❤
"You've Lost That Loving Feeling" was the most radio played song of the 20th century
These two were the best duo ever, their voices combined so beautifully, a match made forever.
This is called blue-eyed soul. These guys were the best. Bobby Hatfield with his beautiful tenor voice & Bill Medley with his deeper voice. They were magic together. And remember this is done live. No auto-tuning crap like today. And the songs had meaningful beautiful lyrics. Other great songs by them is "Unchained Melody", "Soul & Inspiration", "Just Once In My Life", "Ebb Tide", "Rock & Roll Heaven" etc.
Thanks!
Great oldie but one of their goodies. You can understand the words. Great reaction
Forget Batman & Robin - This was the REAL Dynamic Duo!
60 years ago this was a hit! I was in the 9th grade, and we had transistor radios, AM radio and the Juke Boxes to listen to the many number 1 hits that came out weekly, one after another. What a memorable era for music. This was our time, and I enjoy the younger kids experiencing what my generation enjoyed. Another group out of Harrisburg. Pa. The Magnificent Men was a talented group of singers that like the Righteous Brothers everyone assumed they were a Black Soul Group, until we saw them live on TV.
Top shelf stuff. When talent mattered
Play you are my soul and inspiration it's a very good
This record hit number one right around my 7th birthday in February, 1965. I was already a music junkie, and I started taking violin lessons in ‘63. I watched this very video on “Shindig”, a music show from that period, and it was the first time I’d heard it. A long story short, my father bought me the record the day after this aired while I was on Christmas break from the rigors of the first grade. It really knocked me off my feet - and it’s still my favorite song, period, even after 59 years. I loved your reaction. I enjoy watching people hear this for the first time. It’s almost like reliving what is now a very distant time and place in my life. Thank you for that.
Their music on Shindig was prior to Phil Spector taking them over with his Wall of sound and ballads that brought them to fame. Take a look at Shindig, you’ll love them before they started making hits,❤
You’ll never walk alone is great too!!!
The look😮on your face says it all 😂😂😂😂😂
They have been friends of mine since 1962...bobby died just before a concert a few years ago...we miss him!
Thay lived in Orange County Ca. Thay sang near ElToro marine base A couple mariners yelled out that was righteous brothers.
That became their name.
One of the background singers was Cher. Yes, that Cher.
Bobby -video of him doing Summertime-will knock your socks off off!
The Nearness of you, White cliffs of Dover, Guess who. . . Bill could really sing beautifully, but Bobby was unearthly'. Boy, could he melt hearts
Now you need to hear them sing "You'll Never Walk Alone."
The reason the music sounds so good is because it's from the Phil Specter wall of sound era.
Bobby left us in 2003, a short time after they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The good news is he left us many super classic videos and records. Summertime, somewhere, the goodness of you, EbbTide, bring it on home to me, Dream on, My Prayer…. So many and all beautiful beyond words. Most of us fell in love with him but have no idea how to fall out of love 💕
The hottest white group from the 60’s. As we only listen in radio or vynil everybody thought they were black until TVs became affordable and we discover they were white guys and a DJ give them the name of Blue eyed souls ❤ The most-played song on American radio and television in the 20th century ! They have such a vast and versatile performances you’ll find dificult to choose !
If you want a truly amazing song listeñ to Bobɓy singinĝ ßUMMERTIME. SOMEWHERÈƁRINGITONHOME TO ME, DREAM OÑ, so mañÿ and àll better than great.Bobbÿwas phenominal. He hada gift and kneŵhow to use it. RIP BOBƁY
I never thought they were black. Neither did my sister.
This song was the most played song on the radio in the 20th century - and understand for most of that time radio was the number one way to listen to music
They are *absolutely* amazing-- voices, structure, and feel! INSANE!!! At least a12 out 10!
"Soul and Inspiration" will complete the trilogy for you.
Now you have to listen to Soul and Inspiration
This was a surprise, had not heard this in years, it's a true classic, might have been before my time but it was always played on classic rock stations until a few years ago. They were so smooth. The variety of music here just keeps getting better, thank you
Thanks Pam, great voices. A lot more PTX coming as well. Feel free to request anything specific you ever want. I got you 🙂
These guys are Icons! I love this song so much. I love Bill Medley's baritone voice and Bobby Hatfield's high voice! Love your reaction!
You can hear the voices in the background before you see them. One of the background singers was a 17yr old Cher.
Check out Soul and Inspiration, another big hit.
Bobby did other solos, Ebb Tide, among them.
The greatest duo. "You'll Never Walk Alone" is another great one you need to hear. I think this was from a TV show called Shindig. Those are their backup singers.
Thank you
💙💙💙
Oh goody, this is the right version!!
Most people didn’t even know they were white. Because of the deep soul blends, coupled with the bluesy tones.
Fun fact…Cher is one of the backup singers in this video.
Oh wow
It's fabulous isn't it both of them Bill medley Bobby Hatfield passed in 2003
This was live.from what i understand Sher was one ofvthe back singers along with whitneys mother and aunts and more
You may have heard of two of those backup singers, Glen Cambell and a 15 year old Cher.
Bill is a bass-baritone. Bobby is a tenor whose voice often reached the register of a countertenor (equivalent to that of a female contralto or mezzo-soprano.) Arguably the most perfect contrasting of voices in a group or duo in the history of music. You can thank Phil Spector for the production values.
They wanted to do a couple solos - so Bobby did Unchained melody and can’t remember what one Bill did. Radio’s best hit last century and played in both Top Gun movies. They also did together on Ed Sullivan show: “You’ll never walk alone”. This was great - thanks!
Thanks, appreciate the info. Their voices are 🔥 looking forward to more.
Bill did Georgia On My Mind and I Just Want to Make Love to You. Always bluesy!
Muy bueno buenísimos !!!!😮😮😮😮
It's not well known but because they didn't have earbuds back then to give them a beat, some singers would snap their fingers. Enjoyed your reaction and will continue to listen.
Thank you!
Another great reaction hun
Will you please check out their song, "You'll Never Walk Alone" sung live on the Ed Sullivan show. Thanks
I had that album
Now you have to listen to Soul & Inspiration next.
Thanks!
@@555Vibes Yes, please react to it. Soul and Inspiration was written as a follow-up to the success of this song, by the same writers, and features the beautiful harmonies of both brothers. Peaked at #1 for three straight weeks in 1966. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/cwTdRpYTS4c/w-d-xo.html
Another singer you should know: Kris Kristofferson. . . Listen to Sunday morning coming down and som of his others. His music brought Class to country.❤
React to Soul and Inspiration, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Rock & Roll Heaven. For a Bobby Hatfield R&B solo, Summertime 😊
Awesome, thanks!
Their next top ten song was another solo by Bobby, Ebb Tide, but only audio, after that was their next number 1, Soul and Inspiration. I really like some of their earlier stuff, too. Try Little Latin Lupe Lu, their first charted single.
Thanks!
Check out the brothers with Andy Williams
I remember seeing this on Shindig in1964! They were phenomenal. Along with the other suggestions, I recommend other Shindig performances of Little Latin Lulu Lu and Night Time is the Right Time to see other sides of their talent: Lupe Lu th-cam.com/video/ldVFC0tPBqw/w-d-xo.html, Night Time th-cam.com/video/7wRA9tfEwLs/w-d-xo.html. Bobby passed away in 2003, but Bill is still performing, at 83. (Concert near me in October! Can’t wait!). He returned to his love of the blues for his two last albums in 2007 and 2014 (I think these are the right dates), and they’re great. Do check out Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing, for which he won a Grammy.
Thanks. I’ll definitely check that out!
Thanks for Nice reaction this song 👍
Next...Just please watch & react ;
Cakra Khan performance on AGT 2023 &
more songs (cover) from Cakra Khan channel, you will ❤ so much.
Warm Regards from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Summertime by Bobby is great
For fun, you should listen to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warner singing their classic I’ve Had the Time of My Life from the movie Dirty Dancing

Ooh thanks! I’ll definitely check that one out.
I didnt know that the time of my life was sung by them

I put the link above. Hope you enjoy it!
No sing e r. Could ev e r match Bobby. He gives each song a push that shoots them way past great. Try: somewhere, My Prayer, He (Bobby); both Soul and inspiration, You’ll never walk alone (both)
Check out there other hit Soul & Inspiration
❤❤❤
