Honestly, I never saw Joong crying like that but when he talked about his dad as a person who doesn't have father can feel the pain so well and to me a child needs both mother and father even though he or she says that they're happy. As much as I know Joong went through a lot in past and now I really hope he makes good friends who can stay there with him whenever he needs as his family live far from him and among those friends Dunk is the one, Dunk not just a partner for him I guess, he is the person with whom Joong spends most of his time.
