Jintotolo Island. Island Paradise of Balud, Masbate

There's an island in the middle of Sibuyan Sea, Visayan Sea and Jintotolo Channel. It is called Jintotolo and it is blessed with rich marine life, deserted white sand beaches, clear, turquoise waters and the warmest people. It also has one of the oldest Spanish Lighthouses in the Philippines.
Join us as we take a 30-minute boat from Calumpang, Balud, Masbate to Barangay Cantil in Jintotolo Island as we were welcomed by hundreds of school-children, teachers, parents and barangay officials with dances and performances. The same warm welcome greeted us when we went to Barangay Jintotolo.
We also got to visit the beautiful white-sand beach of Playa Alegria, and had lunch of fresh seafoods with the barangay officials of Cantil.
The highlight of our visit to the island is the old Spanish Lighthouse of Jintotolo, built in 1892, an important sentinel for sea vessels crossing between Luzon and the Visayas.
We have also added the presentation made by the mayor of Balud on the newly discovered extensive coral garden of Jintotolo.
Jintotolo with its natural beauty can become the next Malapascua!
