It's really interesting to listen to a native English speaker who has lived in Finland for so long speak Finnish. I can't really hear an accent so your pronunciation is pretty much spot on, but grammar-wise its not always clean, forgetting or adding letters to words etc. Can't even imagine how difficult Finnish is to learn though :P Our grammar can be pretty ridiculous. Sounds great though :) Keep it up!
"Today is over" would be translated as "Tämä päivä on ohi." not "Tänään on ohi.". It is not a big mistake but it sounds a bit weird. People may or may not understand that sentence. Just you to know. Also "Now I'm editing todays video" is "tämän päivän video" instead of "tänänin video", which also might get people confused. Muuten puhut todella hyvin suomea! Keep practising! I will too try to improve my English skills! :)
Exactly. Adverb "Tänään" is basically an shorter version of "tänä päivänä" (this day). It is used only in the base form, you can not conjugate it. Unfortunately I don't know if there are any clear rules about when you can and when you can not use it as the subject. "Tänään on ohi" (today is over) is not correct Finnish, but "Tänään oli mukava päivä" (Today was a nice day) is perfectly fine. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tänään . Your pronounciation is so good !
+paanikki That makes sense though. I think I need to dig up my grammar book from the back yard of the cottage... where I buried it years ago from because of acute frustration. Thanks about the pronunciation!
Did you learn finnish by yourself or did you study at some kind of a course? Cause your finnish is really good, even though I don't speak finnish that well, I can tell.

This has been waited for! Btw, could’ve sworn you were Estonian when you said “vanhemmatten” - it’s “vanemate” in Estonian (“vanhempien” in Finnish).
Welcome back 👍
+MirOmid Thanks! By the way, your channel is growing fast!
Luke Bland oh yes, thank you so much 😊
03:02 Aika törkeetä ottaa viimeinen mansikkasuukko ja jättää muille vaniljat, eli siitäkin jo huomaa miten hyvin olet suomalaistunut :)
Eiks se oo vielä törkeempää ottaa se toiseksi viimeinen, kun tietää että seuraavalle tulee huono omatunto jos ottaa sen viimeisen?
