I love the idea of using yarn. It makes the hair so much lighter. I watched a video a week or so ago, and the chick was using kalekenon(?) Braiding hair, and all I could think of, was how heavy it was going to be. I kind of forgot about your videos. This is where I get help on how to start my hair ideas.
Im going to have to try this ..maybe this summer...but so glad that you were willing to show and share this.
I love your tutorials so much!!! I highly appreciate how detailed you explain everything! Thank you so much!!
I personally love the way you usually take a lot of time to explain a style and the methods you use to achieve it. I have used 5 of your videos now for protective styles for my natural hair. While this video showed the basics of the process, I still enjoy the longer tutorials for actually learning. Beautiful style as always!
thanks so much for your reply, I just love the way you make it look easy, you are patient and I appreciate it. KEEP up the good work.
Can you do an update of your hair? I would love to see how your hair is doing and how much length you are retaining.
Thank you for this video! I'm gonna try this this week and I'm gonna keep in my mind your tips!
This is such a detailed tutorial. I love it!
yay! I'm so glad you did a tutorial on faux locs. This is something my clients have been asking for more often now and I like to make sure I am doing the correct technique. Do you mind doing one using marley hair instead of yarn? Yarn looks soooo time consuming lol. Great tutorial!
I couldn't wait for you to do this video!
Soooo cute!!!!! I'm going to try it wish me luck!
Love the video on the faux locs. Any suggestion on a particular brand of hair to use? Also do you have any issues or suggestions with dealing with the burned ends snagging on each other and clothing?
the amount of detail you give just saved me all kinds of aggravation. lol! thank you. You just earned a new subscriber.
The hairstyle is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you are wonderful and gorgeous. this video has taught me lots. you just earned a new subscriber

I love the way you showed exactly how to do these yarn locs. My question is, if I braid my hair with the yarn is it going to be ruff on my natural hair ? Or would it be fine?
+Sassi G its goin to be just fine, If you use kinky hair its more likely to loc with your natural hair
very informative thank you
Love this video...
HOW LONG DO YOU RECOMMEND LEAVING THE YARN BRAIDS/FAUX LOCS IN??
where can u get this yard how many yard ball if yard do you need and love you detailed videos
thank you for the tutorial , but would it change anything if i have straight ? for how long can i keep them , and is it okay if i wash it ?!
I have a question that might be weird? I have sister locs already. Could I use this technique to extend my locs?
hey do you wrap everytime you braid or do you braid your entire head then braid. I ask because I wondered if its quicker that way. I usually braid the whole head 1st which takes me like a week. I wanna get done in quicker timing.
Can you do a faux goddess loc tutorial?
love it
Is tgise the same process using marley hair? Or coukd you do a video on how to do marley faux locs.
real nice
I want to know where you got your shirt ! I need one of those in my life !!!
i still can't start the braid the way you have it. I have to do a slip knot and attach the wrapping yarn the same way. :/
Can the yarn be bleached and coloured?
Hey.. How many locks did you finish with?
Love it 😀
Where do I get that type of yarn you used from?
how u do to take a bath u wet the locs
Were yours stiff and tight ? How do you loosen them ?
how do you take away the stiffness?my hair looks like tree branches:-(
Apparently dipping the hair in hot water helps. I realize this is two years late but yeah 😅
Hey Bree could you do a vid about YOU. I'd like to know more about the person I watch. :-)
How long did that take you all together?
was the hair heavy or light weight
nice
can you dye this hair or buy it in a different color, I am looking for blonde. I have blonde locs for about 15 years or more. and they have gotten thinner. would like to make them thicker.
+Barbara mapp you can buy this yarn in different colors. Make sure to buy acrylic yarn because other types of yarn can lock onto your hair.
what size did u use? because some people only use two. also would the brand "red heart yarn" be okay? also why 4 , does the size of your head or and size of the locs effect how much yarn you buy?
Ennosen Yen when I do my yarn braids I usually have to use 4-5 strands of yarn because my hair is thick and I like my braids a little bigger bs my sisters hair that is thin and likes smaller braids so she uses 3 strands. hope this somewhat helpes
When my friend told me about this I thought it was a new hair style but then I realized it's just yarn dreads
you are a monster god bless your talent

Breanna Rutter is it bad to braid your hair with yarn? I seen a comment on someone else's video saying it dries your hair out.
nice! how long did it take you to do this style start to finish?
+selinda2009 swear mine took two days, ofcourse if you are doing it on someone else it will probably take 5-6 hours
Next, crochet dread locks!
do you have to do the braids with yarn or it's optional??????
+beautiful butterfly it's optional. The only thing that matters is that your braid should be as long as you want your Faux Locs to be 👍
That looks so nice but i know it's going to take a lot of time.
💖
4 Large packs or 4 smalls ones ..?
+Jason Allen the details on the yarn I used and other supplies is in the video description.
Looks great. That couldn't have taken 5 mins though.
I love you😍 but your videos confuse the hell out of me... but IG I'm the only one.
Which part exactly was only taking 5. Minutes start to finish??? False title ...👎
I've been rockin my yarn locs now for about a month & absolutely love ❤ them! I think they look more natural & its easy to change your loc colors, without bleaching or coloring. I've tried faux locs with Kanekalon hair & altho it has a natural shine to the hair, I found it harder to control, messy, & uneven. Whereas, with the yarn, you have more control & the locs are always uniform in size as long as partings are even in size.
I also found faux locs with yarn last longer, at least for me. Only maintenance I have to do, is retwisting from new growth & just keeping my scalp clean & moisturized.
