It’s very interesting to learn about them digging up minerals to get their vitamins. I wonder if it’s an innate thing of them knowing where to dig, or if humans help to plant the minerals that they need.
Nope...they just know. And all the animals know what they need how to supplement their diets...the Hyenas get these same minerals by eating the bones of other animals...but Elephants don't have the teeth to be able to chew up bones or the stomachs/intestines to be able to process them in a way that pulls out the minerals.
