ahhh dewatering. for sure. it speeds up the drying process by 3x, to 4x while losing hardly any of the CBD in the juice that comes out. On larger scale we find up to 40% by weight coming out in the water. We have a few 20,000 lbs per hour machines going into the fields this year for harvest. basically just over 1 acre per hour of dewatering. It saves them up to 30% on their energy bills for drying
@@kevinjmellis Generally they will convey it to a dryer to finish the drying. I think some probably go right to soaking it in alcohol but the "bound water" that is left in the cell walls is still there. This process will remove roughly half the water by % so technically there is still 40% water left. If you go straight to alcohol you need to somehow figure out how much that alcohol is diluted with that bound water left in the plant. Those extracting seem to be pretty secretive of their process.
