Funny story, least talked about but highly common injury, severe lower leg injuries to include amputations. I’ve been wearing alpine stars race boots and riding pants at a minimum ever since I learned that, even if I’m in a hoodie. I feel like that’s more realistic than a jacket with shoes and regular pants based off my many hours on liveleak

Sure the shoes are a terrible choice but as far as his attire, try riding for more than 20 minutes during an Australian summer, no chance your going full gear unless you can shower and completely change when you get where your going.. its far from ideal but when the weather is routinely in the high 40's and get upto 50°c+ at times, what do you expect? Many of my pictures and videos of me riding are exactly the same, besides i would have alpine high cut casual riding shoes or my work boots on.. doesn't mean i domt own any gear, i have easy $5,000 worth sitting in my cupboard, still cant wear it in summer, chances of passing out and crashing due to heat stroke are much higher than getting wiped out.. Put it this way, in the states, most plaves only get to ride 6 mo.ths of the year due to the cold, well here we get to ride all year round, but during summer yoi have to take risks to keep riding, just as someone going out on icey roads and such just to get their ride in.. & yes, i have crashed. been wiped up by a car whilst doing 90, merged onto by a medium sized truck and low sided 2 bikes, so i dont need to be told 'just you wait until' because i been there!
