@alaji2 Most unfortunately the first groups of Africans taken to Brazil came from Angola and Congo! They are known in Brazil by the names of their ancestral countries! They are called" "the Angolas" and "the Congos"! They interlinked with the natives of Brazil from whom they learned all wisdom of the local holy plants! They were the base and foundation of Afro-Brazilian culture! The Yoruba brought their strong and powerful culture and influenced heavily the Afro-Brazilian, but came much later!

no group of slaves came from Angola. they cam from west africa and they were mainly yoruba people.
