Together with yoga with Anneriek, you two are my absolute favorite yin yogis out here. One question, why do you not make emphasis on being slightly out of our comfort zone for the yin practice, so that it doesn’t become restorative? I understood being slightly out of that comfort is what makes the fascia stretch and realign itself in the rebounds. Gracias! And you rock!
It’s an interesting question. People have very different ways of feeling and interpreting sensations. To some people, the yin-like sensations of stretching, twisting and compressing tissues feels really good. To others, the same amount of stretch, is felt as discomfort. Since I’m solidly in the former camp, I have never personally resonated with cues to be uncomfortable in yin. Yet my practice is still very different from restorative yoga - it’s heavily stretch-based, whereas restorative is not about stretching.

Thank you for the in-depth explanations of each and every pose, as a relatively new practitioner in the world of yoga, it is always important for me to understand the purpose of the stretch, which muscles the pose wants to concentrate on in order to get the best out of it. @@DeviDalyYoga When you guide us to enter to a posture, you explain it very well, so I can understand how to get into the position accurately and correctly. In addition, when I'm already in the posture, you go through it and explain which organs the posture works on, which is very, very helpful. Hope that I've explained myself better now. OMG 👀 Devi, that was a beautiful practice I am not able to do the warm up as you do , I do what I can, however, the yin practice was wonderful. I mostly stay on the floor because doing active more yang poses is tiring for me, I just do what I can. I loved the instructions....the quality of your voice and the guidance to stay in the body.
