Laundrie parents should be arrested for aiding and abetting...or accessory after the fact... They admitted that they knew what he did before he even arrived back home. Brian probably told his parents that he wanted to do what he thought was "the honorable thing" by ending his life...which is really the cowards way out to avoid life in prison. Instead of reporting him, they helped him. He drove out to the nature preserve, and they picked his car up after and brought it back to their house, and they said NOTHING to anyone after. If they had reported, or turned him in, they would have avoided all of this negative press coverage on them. They're just as complicit and deserve prison time for hiding the truth.

The worst part for me is that they didn’t report her death and give her family the chance to see her again. Of course they knew. EVERYONE knew they knew! These disgusting people need to be held accountable and prison time would be appropriate. Judgement day is coming, Laundries…I wouldn’t want to be you.
His parents should be accountable.
How is this not obstruction of justice? I thought if you knew of a crime you had to report it? Otherwise you could be an accessory after the fact? How are the Laundries getting away with this behavior?
Accessory after the fact- per the web.
"Any person subject to this code who, knowing that an offense punishable by this code has been committed, receives, comforts, or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his or her apprehension, trial, or punishment shall be punished as a court martial may direct."
There was no warrant for his arrest, how did they hinder his arrest? Plus, mandatory reporting varies from state to state, parent/child relationships are exempt in Florida.
They hired an attorney for good reason, they broke no laws.
@@Crystal-nm9tbHope that you don’t have any children! Because I think you would feel differently if this happened to you.

The way some people think that they can solve their problems by being so evil baffles me. I can’t imagine what they went through when searching for her and his family knew…. It breaks my heart.
Shouldn't they be criminally charged??? They facilitated his escape.
Gabby's parents suffered horribly wondering where their Daughter was while Brian's parents knew the whole time that she had been already gone. Awful parenting to let another suffer 😢
Then they should have called the Laundries to find out if they had heard from Brian.
@@sr2291 they did call, several times!

yup.
and they show she always looks fake happy, she looks like she was crying before posting .. typical for abused ppl.

This is so heartbreaking. I followed every step of this case.
Shame on the parents there’s no excuse for the way they handle this son or not ….
She was so beautiful.
They should be charged with obstruction
The thing is-if she had gone off she would have taken HER VAN. Brian Laundrie drove it back, cleaned it, was protected from all consequences and left life on his own terms-Gabby didn’t get her choices to live on her own terms, to live at all, to drive her own van back to HER family. He took everything.
Absolutely NO REASON you should ever strangle anyone. If you are so upset just WALK AWAY
Maybe don’t minimize what the parents did. It was more than inexcusable it was criminal, and if the justice system has any sense the parents would be charged with a criminal act.
Laundrie parents should be arrested for aiding and abetting...or accessory after the fact... They admitted that they knew what he did before he even arrived back home. Which means they knew while he travelled from Wyoming all the way back to Fla in her van. And their whole "family vacation" afterward was mainly a "goodbye" send-off. I still think his sister was in the dark of it the whole time since she was the only one who didn't care about speaking to the press.
Parents are exempt. The article below states why.
From mosesandrooth law firm:
FLORIDA RELATED PERSON EXEMPTION
Under Florida law, a spouse, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister, or a person otherwise related by blood or marriage to the principal actor cannot be charged with aiding and abetting under most circumstances. However, extended family members could face charges, including aunts, uncles, or cousins.
What is the rationale behind the related person or family exemption? The reasoning is that it is unrealistic to expect family members to turn in their spouse, child, parent, etc. The duty to one’s family will often outweigh any responsibility a person might feel toward their moral or legal obligations. As a result of these public policy concerns, the Florida legislature has carved out this exemption to aiding and abetting.
Exception To The Exemption
There is an important caveat to the exemption. If the crime involves child neglect, child abuse, or results in the death of a child, the related person exemption does not apply. Any family member, regardless of whether they are immediate or not, can be charged.
They should be criminally liable and face some jail time for this
From someone that lived through domictic ab_ _ _ (D.A.) and got out after 9 years (9 years too long). D.A. follows down the family line unless that person decides to better themselves. Just food for thought! My heart breaks for Gabby's family. Poor Gabby could have gooten help a long time ago, if she only spoke truth to her family. She was living in a Ab_ _ _ __ household with the Laundries no doubt about that. PLEASE if anyone living with D.A. PLEASE speak, PLEASE get help, PLEASE get out, not only for your self but especially if there are children in the home. PLEASE BREAK THE CYCLE PLEASE!
Those parents should be arrested and charged with obstruction of justice
She was so special and exploited... this makes me so sad and I hope people learn from this. There are a lot of creeps out there.
There was prior physical assault on Gabby? Please please please report each and every assault. Then leave. If cops have access to that report and intervened more appropriately. It may have prevented her death. RIP
We already knew this they should be in jail for aiding and abetting and much much more, are they going to be charged?
It should be a crime for Laundries to have kept this knowledge and not shared with POLICE! WHY are THEY FREE?
💯
Of course the parents knew that their son murdered Gabbi. I hope that the parents get criminally charged
Very good coverage... you are😢 providing such a good compilation of a well rounded source of information
They should have turned their son in,
he would probably still be alive.
They not only knew, but then what...took him on a camping trip with other family members? let him stay in their house? Let him leave "to go on a hike"? I couldn't just sit there next to murderous son as if everything was normal 🤮
True. They took a murderer around their grandchildren, daughter and son in-law. It's obvious which one is their favorite child.
Why does B.L. look like Chris Watts?
They both were smiling 😃 whenever talking to the police 🚔.
Both covert narcissists exhibiting duping delight.
He was enjoying lying to the cops. He felt he was smarter than them. He was a sociopath. They were ignorant.😝He was probably planning her death at that time. Monster.🤬
One had just killed his pregnant wife and children, one was just physically assaulted by his girlfriend.
THEY NEED TO BE CHARGED FOR THEIR CRIME... HELPING AND CONSPIRING TO COVER UP A MURDER
With people like the Laundries who needs enemies? 😢
So when his sister was playing dumb? Did she know? Hard to believe she was kept in the dark.
Maybe, but she might have been the black sheep. Narcissistic families are a whole other thing. She would have suspected, but if she's the black sheep, they'll never give her the real inside scoop because she might stand up for what's right.
I think she was the scapegoat to Brian’s golden child status with his family.
Sad. Both those kids seemed very troubled. Just so tragic.
His family HAD TO HAVE KNOWN that he was abusing her. They all lived in the same house.
Aiding and abetting...jail time completely warranted! Half of what Brian would have had. The immediate Laundrie family is despicable.

Sick, psycho Laundrie parents. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
They knew he murdered gabby then went on a camping trip together
2 young people dead. Families destroyed. This is evil. To know their son was so dangerous, so evil as to take the life of someone he professed to love then to know he had left her to be eaten by wild animals, to not turn their son in and to lie to her parents - so so evil
This is definitely a horror story. Gabby is the young innocent young lady that fell prey to a demonic murderous family.😢😢😢😢⚖️
We all knew that his parents knew. And I’m sure they knew where their son was hiding.
Hell I think the day 2 ppl left and only one returned, was the day they took him to "hide" .. I also think they are the ones that actually pulled the trigger for him and more than likely on that day.. remember the park was then closed off due to flooding so they had to wait for the water to recede.. they walked right to where his bag and stuff was .. too many coincidences, and I don't believe in coincidences.. this is just imo. I think it's weird his gunshot wound was on the left side when he was right handed.. depending on their religious beliefs, I really do think it's possible the mom or dad did it for him.. he probably said he was gonna do it with or without their help..
still alive? Could be
@@chasity71mvp19I 100 percent agree. I think one of his parents spent time with him there before saying goodbye and pulling the trigger.

This day and age, I can't believe the Moab police don't know the signs and behaviours between an abuser and a victim...

Cops should have had those 2 people separate, at least for the night. But, I doubt they can be held responsible for contributing to her death - as she was a 22 year old adult, who made the fatal decision to stay with her abusive, murderous boyfriend.
That was a very sad story! 😢 i hope the family get every cent from everyone who was involved.

Of course they knew. How sad.
I really feel if the police had done more perhaps she wouldn’t have been killed. More about the abuse she had been going through needed investigation !!! 😮😮😮
I think so too I think she would be still
I wish there was enough evidence to charge the Laundries with obstruction or any other crime.
The worst part for me is that they didn’t report her death and give her family the chance to see her again. Instead, like cowards, they tried to cover up what was plainly obvious to us all, and robber her family of that closure. Instead, they got her back in pieces. They didn’t protect or save him, because they lost him anyway. They missed the chance to support their son in love after he made a horrible decision and instead they showed him how ugly people can be. That guilt ate him alive. I have always explained to my son that I will love him
no matter what decisions that he makes, but that I am never going to lie and cover up his mistakes. I have explained that I will be by his side, but that he will have to stand accountable for his choices, so choose wisely. I hope they are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. As a mom of both a daughter and a son, this story broke my heart on so many levels.
Of course the Laundries knew................No decency, no human decency whatsoever...............
The Laundries male me sick! Send them to prison please!
His parents should be prosecuted & jailed. They are despicable people... The police did EVERYTHING they could do legally during that stop b/c like most abused women, they are brainwashed to believe their abuse is their fault & Gabby blamed herself for that incident. Unfortunately the officers hands were tied. I hope there is a change with these laws soon...
Finally they admitted to what we all already knew
They should be charged some how and in some way. They kept a sick secret.
Why aren’t Brian’s parents in jail?
I don't think Brian L killed himself. I think his dad killed him. When "his body" was found...... By his dad..... The search that had reopened in the area..... Daddy and Mommy dearest were on that search! As they were walking and suddenly stopped, daddy left the trail and mommy stayed put on the trail. Daddy walks back carrying a white bag. When he left the trail, the bag was rolled up in his right hand. And if Brian Laundrie "killed himself" how'd he wrap it in a plastic bag and throw it in the body of water where he "killed himself"? Did daddy throw it out there? He certainly knew where to find his son's remains.
I believe your theory. It is very possible. He brought a lot of negative attention on them. I think the father was angry. How did they know where to get the car too?
So are they trying to charge his parents in any way ?
I hope so. They should have been charged already.
The cops really dropped the ball on this.
We’ve known that they knew and that’s why we all hate them.
I love that you explain the legal document so people know to read it and why
