I thought his first performance with the slide guitar was better. I hope he does not turn commercial to fit in with with the commercial side of the music business. This guy has really got a lot of expertise in his music.
The judges acted like jerks the first time. They are the ones who should apologize. It was so obvious that he was nervous in the first audition and was just trying to cover with confidence. But when they were rude to him and accusatory he got rude right back.
They didn't allow him back out of the goodness of their heart. They only allowed him back to save face for Brian McFadden, who was previously an asshole to Owen. Glad he came back.

After they gave him a second chance, he made it nearly to the Grand Finale... and, today, is worth $17 million. Not so bad for a kid with a sometimes "bad attitude."
