Laying mines in vulnerable areas like enemy resupply points, setting up ambushes with the MMG, and deploying smoke into the face of enemy tanks to blind them, so we could plant explosives on them, or at the very least, drive them off. After all that, you get deployed in a pillbox as a machine gunner. You never do get to see the 'enemy', after a couple of quiet days you suddenly hear the door to the pillbox getting kicked open, some foreign guy shouting a strange word 'FRY!', and the next (and last) thing you feel is your body getting superheated to over 1000 degrees Farenheit. This would be the fate of many combatants on all sides....

This is one of the few channels here that I can watch all day long without any problem. Vital history comes to us in many forms. Understanding how wars are fought gives people a priceless insight into a moment in history, and into the minds of the people called upon to do the fighting. It's been over 75 years and the people who fought the most important war of all time are passing way. But films like this preserve who they were, what they knew, and how they fought. To me and to others, these insights are truly priceless as we continue to make events matter to those who can't understand a vital need to know and understand history as they plan the future for themselves and other people. December 7th is a day like no other in American history. For America, it put us on the right side of a war against unspeakable evil. What was won along with "World War II" was the basis of the world we know today, even 75 and more years later. Find a Veteran today, and thank them for what they do for all of us, while remembering the history of all Veterans, who helped make the world today a better place thru the sacrifices of both yesterday and today.
My uncle and his bubbys did it. Follow till it in hilly forest, toss bags of dynamite a t tracks to stop it. Blast trees over it , keeping constant firing from machine gun and everything they had at view holes ,periscopes . Keeping it up as a man first pull Sneaky Pete / then Frags insert Frags in barrel / then Sneakypete to weld barrel shut to make it explode inside it..... Then uncle said that when the fun started as tank crew jumped out .If any was armed ,even looked toward that top machine gun his crew dropped all of them...That how it was told to me. Uncle got wounded very badly doing it but returned home ,lived a good life. He is my hero and I miss him ...
I don't think the Sherman is useless, it's like a MBT, it fights/supports infantry, it kills other tanks, it's just that their armor and armament wasn't the best for the time
Justus Stern Since when is a Sherman useless? Last time I checked, a Sherman with a proper flank can take out a Tiger 2 with a single AP shell And no, I didn’t get this from Fury Also, who needs a Sherman when the Tigers and other heavy tanks will just lose their ability to move in the middle of combat due to a shitty transmission?
bluewaffle 45 US Army Armored Divisions 3 and 4 had a 3.6 - 1 kill ratio in their favor. That’s 3.6 German tanks killed for every Sherman killed. Good try with your bullshit myth though.
I mean, once you deal with the infantry support sure it's probably that easy. Alternate method: Radio the Army Air Corps, tell them you see a tiger at coords, duck and hope you both got those coords correct.
The king tiger is the only tank where this was realy the case. Fatcntabooism let to the misconception that it was common for a tiger or panther to break down, because of bad transmissions. These people dont think about the given infrastucture, the position germany was in, the weight class these tank were in and the given technology back then.
Were German tanks' mechanical troubles widely known by the Allies early in the war? Sure with our futuristic space age knowledge of AD 2020 we'd know all that.

How to destroy a tank that was actually not a german tank but an american tank
@Colton Froeba, The Divine Will the description says "7TP"
A 7TP is based on the Vickers 6 ton, which the tank in the video is not.

Funny, that M2 managed to open it's hatches.
Why are there 2 hatches on the front? The 7TP only has one
Why are there 4 Road wheels per side? The 7TP has 8

Imagine being a soldier that watched all these videos, trained like hell for years and then being rewarded with a visit to the beaches of normandy
These videos are for specialist tank-hunters
Rip
Jess Blues well yes but it’s for special training so most soldiers needed to know what to use to destroy certain things, soldiers are not dumb retards they are highly trained killing machines
Yup, imagine bieng the guy who earns a fat hole in the stomach while still in the landing craft...
Although it would be the same for all nations. Imagine you were a young Japanese man, going through all the training, vowing to bring pride and honour to your family and the Emperor, telling your family you are going to kill many of the invaders, and if you die you vow to take many of the enemy down with you.
LOL,,,,trained for years? Ha ha ha ha,,,,,,more like months or even just weeks, this was WW2.
We need training videos like this for every aspect of life. They make everything sound so easy , like just follow these basic steps and you will be alright.
The basics are easy, of course. The trick is in putting them into practice with whatever situation you find yourself in.
@@FlameDarkfire idk man, have destroyed 19,625,726 tanks using this tactic

Thats how America used to roll
that's how it should be i can't count how many classrooms i've been in where 90% is people asking questions just to talk, because back then it was understood you only get the very basic set of rules and after that it's up to you to learn the details that can only be acquired through experience and not talking until you're so full of iinformation that you freeze when operating a task in a live situation.
This video is assuming it's one lonely tank and without infantry support.
Other circumstances would had needed more reinforcements.
Your buddies deal with the infantry. Your not alone, either.
After watching this video, an American would know:
- where tank armor is weak and where it is strong
- where tanks can and can't shoot
- that making it look like something weird is happening will force the tank commander to poke his head out
- that shooting will force the tank commander to "button up"
- how to use teamwork and cover to get close to an enemy tank
While facing up against multiple tanks with infantry support would be far more difficult than facing a lone tank, the application of these principles would still be the key to success. As such, the video does its job.
It is an American tank taken by the Germans. I am assuming the commander got lost, the driver approached the Americans forgetting he was German 😂🤣
If you're a three man team facing several tanks with infantry support, you leave. You don't try to fight all that on your own.
Or a really badass canadian who can liberate a whole town alone.
