I find myself buying Earthbound T-shirts, buying the game on multiple consoles, and even crafting a earthbound yoyo from scratch, Once i beat the game, i pick it up again right after and it never gets old for a second.
You can just hear the giddyness of the audience. I remember watching this live streamed, and man, there really was nothing like E3. Gamers coming together to celebrate and get new info. I'm sad that we probably won't get that magic ever again.
Probably the same reason why we didn’t get Metroid 2 on Wii U I think getting earthbound beginnings is better than 3, because having the first two would atleast give some closure.

Thanks so much for uploading this. I remember I was staying with some friends in Knoxville when this aired on Nintendo Direct. It always brings tears to my eyes to hear Itoi speaking directly to the western fans and acknowledging us. There is a video on youtube of the first Smash Bros Melee teaser at E3 with fans' reactions that also brings tears to my eyes, because it's such a beautiful trailer but also because of what a pure reaction it was back then with no internet leaks like nowadays. Now, this video is just as special to me. Wow, thanks again.

PalPlays cause i'm getting irritated by how popular Earthbound is getting! One of the things magic of the game was how underrated and barely known it was... It was cool to know about where Ness is from and stuff, when the majority didn't know. In the forums, Starmen.net was clean community with people who loved the series but now its filled with kids who probably first played on their Wii U and don't know the true value of the game. ;-;

I've been a fan of the game since long before I experienced it first hand: being unable to prior to the VC release. I truly appreciate the game, and count myself among those that have had their lives changed by it. Being such, I see it as our responsibility to show those new to the game its value. I made a Let's Play of the game just recently, learning about it as I went along. I was able to show off the game as someone dedicated to making it their favorite title BECAUSE of the magic it performs, not because of its popularity.

What do you mean? It was originally called Earth Bound here in NA (Two Words) They just renamed it to relieve confusion with the Earthbound we got back in 1995. Mother 1 and Earth Bound/Earthbound Beginnings are the same game; they also renamed it to have consistency with the Earthbound Series in America as it was not called Mother
Imagine what the reaction will be if Mother 3 is announced for the west.
