How to simulate the rotation of turbine without prescribing it's rotational speed? Like let it start moving due to air flow and find it's speed. Thanks.
The link to the model doesn't work anymore. Could you please make it available again? I want to test how plausible the Solidworks simulations are and give some feedback. Thanks from Enschede:)
Great video, but I cannot understand why you choose external flow rather than internal flow. Is it a good approximation for this type of problem? Why? I know that in this type of problem it's necessary to consider a free surface which is not possible to use in solidworks combined with rotating region. Is it because of this? I was very thankful to hear more about this.

Bro why you put value for angular velocity in rotating region ? i think you also give value to water to check the angular velocity of turbine, and thats the purpose we use turbines.i think you just covered flow trajectories nothing more and that was good.nice work
@@manikkammn Thanks for the reply. I use Solidworks 2020 standard version. This video used Premium version. Also I do not have intention to buy separate add-in. If above one is possible with Solidworks 2020 standard version I will replicate it.
I come from Indonesia, from Muhammadiyah Riau university. I am interested in casting, I am taking a final assignment in college, horizontal centrifugal casting. Can you help me with a horizontal casting centrifugal tutorial solidworks ? please help me
Hi dear, I think there are to mistake in the simulation. First, you chose the wrong direction for gravity. Second, you didn't define any rotation to the blade you add rotation to the shaft only.
Sadly the only great video out there that get's straight to the point
Some of them webinars are two hours long eh? :-/
Okay thx for ur tutorial brother 🤝

Maashaa Allah!
A remarkably thorough tutorial.
My computer is not capable of running this kind of simulation..whew!!

Good Job and keep it up bro.

Can we work with flowsimulation and motion at the same time?
Can you make a full video of the Cross Flow Turbine Simulation in Ansys?
Thanks for the informative video...
We alejkumuselam, thank you for help
Hero
This is very useful
How we can see results, blades are not rotating and they are not selected in rotating parts, you have only red shaft selected
The link doesn't work unfortunately.
Why it's enouth to select only sfaft as a rotating region?
Sir is it possible to have inviscid flow? How do we model incompressible flow in it?

Internal floe is done only when your part is vacuum tight. But in this case we don't have a vacuum tight assembly
Ok. Thanks. But isn't it supposed to be in this type of turbines?
?
Hi, my flow trajectories failed to complete. I don't know why, What should I do?
Could 2 phase flow be handled by solid flow simulation ? i noticed there are several refrigerants in the fluids list.

Which version of solid Works you need to run flow simulation?
all versions of solidworks support flow simulation, but i am using solidworks 2016
I use Solidworks standard 2018. I couldn’t find Flow Simulation in Add-In (time 0.54)
maybe there is some problem in your software.
@@kandasamyrajan Flow is separate module from 3D model. If want you need buy separately. for Info refer Solidworks matrix in their own website

Can't download the model.
Bro adding points in flow trajectories doesn't work
fan blades are going in the wrong direction. blades should be backwardly inclined.
The rotation is CCW! The blades are fine.
make first, measure externally - prototypes probably more precise than 3d software.
Simulations save wasted resources and time
can u share the link of the model

It appeares that your gravity vector is not set properly. I think it should be z=9.81 and x,y=0
he set it like that to avoid rotating the model.
