Engineer WvW - Medkit, SD, Aegis.. What's not to love?

- Hi Guys, apologies again for the long gap between videos. I went off the boil a bit. I'm now recording regularly and come back touting my BRAND NEW BUILD!
It's a Power based SD build that makes good use of MEDKIT instead of healing turret (I mean, wasn't everyone else sick of seeing HT in every single video and every single build in this 'meta'?) It features better* condi clear than HT plus an aegis that swoops in to save you like superman whenever you've messed up!

I also went for a new style of video - a bit more chilled with cinematic slowdowns on big crits etc. Let me know if you prefer this or just free-playing video with some deep wubwub.

*better in my opinion - it deals with condi necros and condi PU mesmers more easily than other SD builds anyway.
OMG PROZ! After weeks of QQ you finally made it happen! Amazing video, didn't know medi kit was so good! I just love how you always change up builds and try out stuff, you look beyond the meta! I think you are one of those guys that can really create a new engi meta, GG and muts luv
man awesome gameplay as usual. u and maska are easily my fav engis period. dunno how to describe correctly why. imo maska is the guy that made Elixier builds popular. not because they were op or something just with very good/head up high gameplay. even now he s sticking to it and evolves it further. same with u and ur constant search to crush what is so called meta. imo meta means yesterday and u show it everytime. thumps up high and gl.
btw i prefer more chilled videos but if the content provides action u can also Switch and go with it.

I was debating whether I should put a build up for this or not, since I think it's really strong. In the interests of trying to break out of the meta though I think I will - See the video description, I'll add it there. Note that you only have 50% uptime on swiftness outside combat, but that is probably the only downside.

They buffed the hell out of this build with the new traits. Going down tools, inventions, and either firearms or explosives and this build will have even more sustain :|
gbtygfvyg Glorious :) I'm pretty hyped about some potential flamethrower builds too! Currently I'm loving the celestial FT build used in my most recent video.. I think new Firearms, Inventions and then either Alchemy or Tools could be extremely good for it!
How well do you think this build still holds up? I'll probably wait til the entire trait rework to do something similar.
gbtygfvyg Hey sorry I didn't see this post. I've updated this build to: www.tinyurl.com/shatterengi7 which I think is stronger since it has more damage, sustain and utility (rifle turret bubble). It's still a very fun build to run, and likely beats a lot of similar SD specs.. but I still think my cele FT build leaves it in the dust right now. :)

Do you notice the heal on block from the 6 slot set of your runes? Or is it just an added bonus to everything else they provide?
The heal on block is 4.2k hp, so yeah you will notice it! :) It doesn't show in the combat log at the moment though.

tho for me it seems like you don't need the defense of elixir s at all(;
It's mainly for getting away from larger groups/running through lines of warding etc. I find elixir gun is probably a better pick-up in most duels, but I way prefer Elixir S for general roaming.
Nothing more satisfying than casting Toss Elixir S and swapping to medkit mid cast to aegis-block the interrupt from thief steal! Same when I channel the heal, I always swap to medkit midcast. Medkit swap for instant immob cleanse from ranger entangle anyone? You have a response for just about every situation.. This build is genuinely the most fun I've had on engi in years.. :D
