    In this video I show you how to organize coffee & tea in a beverage station in the kitchen. I love this system because it's totally visual for the creative (you can actually SEE what you have), it's super easy to use (less stress and frustration in the morning), and it's easy to maintain (which means it's actually easy to keep it organized)!
    When you have easy-to-use systems in place in the kitchen, it makes the morning a lot smoother and more efficient which means you can actually get out the door on-time ready to start another productive day!
    Hope you enjoy the video :)

    Dear Alejandra, you inspired me to do something I would have never done in my life: organize and clean out the oldest, the most filthy, disorganized hall linen closet of my mother's house (where I grew up..). This closet has not been touched for probably 30 years. She is in her 80s and she has not kept up her house which was once lovely.. you can imagine. I found you by accident and watched your videos over the last few days. You are by far the best organizer because you actually care and take pride in your work .. what a great fit. I spent the entire night till dawn (The CLEANING PART is what took many hours plus I cleaned the bathroom underneath..that was scary!).
    I am now SO HAPPY with the results! I took your advice and went to dollar tree and bought budget friendly containers etc and everything else.. Thank you for putting your talents on videos, I am grateful to you.

    I love coffee,drink it four times a day and tea, not my thing but my children and husband loves it. Not until I watched this video, it clicked in my head to put all teas and coffees in the same area. Thanks for the great posts.

    I put together a separate, out of my kitchen, coffee/tea area as it is really a small apartment kitchen (I have only one drawer). So I got a rolling cabinet and all my coffee and tea is here except water and milk.
    I am still getting organized in there but if I want to move it into the living room it is on wheels or put it by the table for sitting down and enjoying. I liked your tip about tea bags and I use them in the organizers I have so thanks. It is real wood so I might put hangers for the cups and maybe another storage thing in there to help, but you inspired me to get organized. Thanks Alejandra.

    We have older kitchen counters that are light and my elderly mother doesn't always have the best aim when pouring water into the conventional drip coffee maker in the morning. I solved the water and coffee drips and made the whole coffee maker easier tfor her to reach by pulling forward when I set everything needed to make coffee on a tray. Solves all sorts of problems in one blow!
    I think I will get the sliders though for the stand mixer. They would be a huge help.

    I like the idea of the feet to put on the coffee maker to make it easier to slide away from the cabinets. I do that too, but only have mine sitting on 2 sheets of paper towels. They do sop of water I sometimes spill refilling it, but I'm going to try the feet. Thanks for the tip!

    Hi Alejandra.....I just can't get enough of your amazing videos, some I watch more than once. I love the slider idea for my Kitchen Aid Mixer but did read below where someone said that the vibration would cause it to move and possible the mix would end up in the floor. What do you think? I do slide my coffee maker out when I make/ or my husband makes coffee and I will definitely put some of those on the bottom because it has a drag to it I don't like. Great idea!

  • @angiegal71
    @angiegal71 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Definitely gonna do the sliders on the bottom of the coffee pot!!! I wish I had the massive kitchen you have!!! Sadly mine is not very big and has VERY minimal storage. We use ground coffee which probably wouldn't work well in a drawer anyway. My coffee is in a clear glass container right next to the coffeepot along with the coffee creamer. I have my coffee "station" set up right next to the sink on a counter area that is very small so it is solely used for coffee making since we are huge coffee drinkers. To save time in the morning...I put fresh grounds in the basket before going to bed and put fresh water in the carafe so all I have to do in the morning is pour the water in the coffee maker and let it brew.

    I have a similar set up in a corner of the kitchen with my coffee maker, tea, coffee grounds, filters, hot coco, and water flavorings (Mio & Crystal Light) are all in one cupboard next to the cupboard with mugs & cups. I have a glass tumbler on the counter with the packets of flavor for single water bottles to grab and toss in my lunch bag. I also have the drawer closest to the microwave set up with silverware, its convient for me as I microwave all the time.

    I also created a coffee/ tea station in my kitchen. I bought a metallic drawer system that can hold 30 Kcups and it lies flat, so I put that on the counter and sit the Keurig on top. In the cupboard over the Keurig are the mugs, as well as a basket of assorted teas, but I also have a hard time seeing which teas I have since they are all in the basket together, not nicely compartmentalized like you have in your drawer. Maybe I will try to get some of those drawer organizers to fit into the basket, and separate them that way. Thanks for the idea Alejandra! :)

    I store my Keurig coffee cups in a carousel made for the K Cups in particular. They fit perfectly and the carousel easily spins when you need a to grab different cups from the back. It is also sort of fun if you ask me. Also, the carousel isn't too big to where it clutters the counter or takes up to much valuable space :)

    I'm going to get some of those sliders for my husband's coffee maker. I like it pushed against the back wall when he isn't using it. He likes it closer to the front of the counter when he turns it on. He sets up his coffee the night before and when he pulls it out in the morning some of the water sloshes out.

    I don't have the drawer space under my coffee maker so I have open shelving above it and have just organized tea by box and then we only drink one kind of coffee and it's there as well. Hot chocolate and apple cidar packets are in my pantry. I use baskets. That's just what works for my kitchen but I would love a drawer like you have instead!

    I've been looking for something like this to put on the bottom of my computer screen for months as I'm sick of scratching the table when I slide it closer (I'm currently using a microfiber cloth which works but it looks messy).
    Does anyone know of a shop in the UK where you can buy these? I've checked on eBay and they only ones I've found come from the USA and have a postage charge of £26 which is ridiculous.

    • @the4cravens

      I saw a similar product at PoundWorld yesterday. I'm from the USA and was so excited to see a similar store to the Dollar Tree! Anyway, check out the near the tool section at PW. Also, B&M homestores has a ton of organizing products and I've seen them there, too. Hope this helps.

      Also, they carry these. Obviously, these aren't adjustable like the drawer storage one's Alejandra uses, but they would probably fit a round Tetley tea bags. There are 12 in each, and they are 2 for 3 GBP.

    My tea/coffee station is so much similar to yours! I like to keep spoons or coffee stirrers in the drawer too so I have it all right there. I love it, but I don't have many varieties of tea like yours. I only have a little section in the drawer for coffee and some tea packets. What's your favorite flavor for tea? I would like to drink more tea but I don't know what to try. I don't want to spend money on something that I may not like.

    I am moving away to college in a few months and would like to know some tips for organizing my desk. I have never been very good at desk organization. I find that the top always gets cluttered and I don't have enough space to work. Also, the drawers that I put papers in tend to get mixed up and it's hard to find papers. Do you have some organization tips for me? Also, I love the putty idea that you have used in a lot of your videos! But I don't think that we would be allowed to use putty inside the desks (unless it comes off easily at the end of the year). Any tips for keeping things in place without using putty? A putty substitute?

    This totally inspired me to organize my teas into a drawer near the kettle. I had them up on top of the fridge and that was basically an exercise in futility (I am 4'11" and have P.O.T.S. so I can't use a stool to stand on or I might faint) and I had to ask my husband, partner or even one of the kids to get my teas down for me. I think I might make a cup of hibiscus tea now :)

      @candace61 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Those over-the-door shoe organizers are the best!! They come in handy for so many things...and they're cheap!! As long as you over stuff them they'll last for a while. You can use them in the pantry for snacks, in the linen closet for cleaning accessories, in the bathroom for smaller beauty items (works great in a full guest bath for travel sized toiletries). You can also use them in kids' rooms for crafts or small toys and books....I could go on and on!

      I did some drawer dividers myself with cardboard but I thought that the pre-made plastic ones would be easy to clean when needed. Unfortunately, I'll have to stick to the cardboard ones...
      Anyway, thank you very much for your help! :-D

    I have the same kind of set up (a drawer under my Keurig), but I don't drink tea so it's just hot chocolate and coffee pods.

    I use a container and Ziploc bags kind of like the older system she was using. The only issue is that it is harder to see all of the teas I have. Labels?

    I love this idea. Here us jy oroblem (ahyone with a suggestion please help)
    When we bought our house, I didn't care what the kitchen was like. I didn't cooj and didn't think I ever would so I over loojed the kitchen. We didn't drink coffe or use a toaster or can opener. Niw I have a small cake business out of my home so im in there every day. I have a keurig now a toaster a can ooener and a kitchen aid mixer. To give you an idea if my counter top/ cabinet situation, my kitchenaid mixer will nit fit on my counter under the cabibets, because they are too low. When I put it on the counter in front of the cabinets it just barely fits. I have very limited "usable" counter soace abd onlu 4 drawers. I don't feel like I have one to spare for my coffee :( I actually store my mixer under the cabinet imagine lugging thst in and out every day! I have considered building a "work station" in the connected dining room but afraid that will lower resale value since it would eliminate the dining room. We don't use it, but someone might. It was a great starter home, gut we are stuck here for at least 5 more years. Any tipe sre welcome on how to maximize my available space in a VERY small kitchen.

    Beautiful job. The only thing is sugar is not there. We always have our sugar in a glass container next to the coffee pot for easy access.
