I felt the Spirit so strongly as Elder Holland spoke to these young missionaries. I, like him, learned the “Mr. Brown” discussions when I was first in the mission field. Then they came out with a new and improved version that I also memorized with a flannel board. Years later, as Ward Missionaries, we learned the flip book lessons. Finally we served again and learned “Preach My Gospel”. It truly is an inspired version of missionary work, not lessons, but teaching. They not only convert people (sheep), but convert the young shepherds who are searching for the sheep. Yes, if we love Him we have to be converted to His Gospel. I pray we will all be faithful to the end of our course. ❤
My father told me a story of one of his first investigators, where he had taught them the way the missionary hand guide said to teach, and he lost the investigator, after that he made an oath to himself that he would never teach that way ever again.
That's really sad. Before I left on my mission, my dad held up preach my gospel, looked me in the eye and said, "study this book." Try reading the second edition. It's an amazing book, truly an amazing resource for missionaries.

Missionaries also don't do very well with asking brand new 🆕 questions in regards to the gospel!
