German Shepherds are amazing dogs; smart, beautiful, and so devoted. The last picture I have of my girl was from Christmas Day, 2018. My daughter put a ribbon on her and I took a picture that didn’t turn out great. My daughter said, “Want me to get a really a good picture? “ She held a treat up and did exactly that. Less than a month later our Shepherd was gone. I am so glad my daughter made that picture special.

Have been asked to leave a few properties and been threatened with trespassing a few times. But 2 of the owners called me and offered me their dogs, so it was worth it. Good for you 💞💞
Every dog deserves a loving home, a cosy warm bed indoors with it's human family. If you aren't prepared to have them in your home and care for them..... simply don't have one.
This brought a tear to my eye. I have never understood why anyone would have a pet and leave it outdoors at all. They are a part of the family till the day they die. Keep them inside warm, cool and comfortable. They deserve that and so much more.
I have taken many feral cats in off the streets. 4 of them have been on my birthday through the years. I still have 3. If you are rescuing them a holiday can be a perfect time as long as you make it a life commitment and love them with all your ❤.

Take this with a grain of salt folks. While there are many many animals out there who need homes, don't adopt for the whole sake of "pets are presents". Too many of these end up back in shelters ( or on the street) after the recipient got tired of them. Adopt with the aim of adding to your family, for keeps. Thanks.

I miss my boy, passed Jan.12th this year (24) and I still cry for him. My ninth dog in my life and as it turns out my most cherished one. I adopted him at 5 years of age because no one wanted him they found him in swamps of western Louisiana and I took him to a lake in northern Wisconsin where he lived out his years as happy as I could make him. I said he would be my last because I didn’t want to get another at my age then pass away and the dog would think I abandoned it.. People don’t get that, if your older adopt an older dog and give them the life they deserve
Same here ... only with my cat. I've had them since I was 11, but when my sweet boy (Tuxedo Cat) Sox passed in 2009 at 18.5 yrs old, I said I was done, because my health had started to decline. But a year later, my daughter left for college and didn't want me to be alone, so she bought me a 2 yr old kitty from the Shelter. Things were pretty good until she developed Thyroid Disease AND was allergic to all the medicines! My crippled body was having a rough time feeding her those last few months, but I pushed myself, because I loved her so. She passed in July 2023. I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved pooch, you did the right thing.....God bless you!!!
My mom, 83, thought the same thing when her last dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but after a month with no dog by her side she knew she has to have a dog. So she talked to my brother, who has 2 dogs of his own and they went to the shelter together to pick out a dog for mom. They made sure my brother's dogs will get along with mom's new fur kid and they do play dates together. If something happens to mom, my brother will have a third dog. My mom needed a dog, and she's made a loving, responsible decision for his care once she's gone. ❤
I gave my 2 year old daughter a golden retriever puppy for Christmas and we called her Cinnamin. They grew up together and Cinny never left her side. I have never known such a sweet. loving and kind animal. She was my daughter's best friend and taught my daughter many things. Everyone loved Cinny. Thank you for this lovely movie. It brought back so many happy memories. I will share this with my now 42 year old daughter. We have never forgotten our sweet Cinny.

My golden retriever Gracie passed in 2010. I still cry over her. My papillon Juno passed 12-22-21. I still cry over her. They were both 11. I still have another papillon named Thor who turns 12 in March of 2023. My prayer is that my boy will live to be 14 or 15😊. God made dogs to keep us kind. I adore them.
Mine passed in 2010 too.. he was so connected to me! His name was Dusty! Now my Black German Shepherd Dog Harley is 10.. she is my shadow. Dog spelled backwards is God ❤ thank you God for giving us such an amazing friendship.
I recently adopted 2 fur babies..... Harley and Bailey.......i love them soo much...... couldn't stand the thought of them being alone and cold and hungry......all dogs deserve a good home and a loving person to take care of them♥️♥️♥️♥️

My 14 yr. old dog passed peacefully the day before Thanksgiving. Cried so hard one day, texted my son looking for consolation. Two large bags of bird seed were delivered from Walmart at 7:30 p.m. in the pitch dark of winter. Already have suet outside, but now I can watch the birds and squirrels go at it including cardinals which are lucky for our family. Donated all pet goods to our animal shelter. Thank you for the bird seed Secret Santa. And thank you Santa. Warmed my heart via your furry friend Buddy!

Gotta keep it clean. My furnace filters are $55. ea. if you buy bulk (4 min.). They were $33 a few years ago. Be good to yourself as you heal.

Goldens are the most beautiful, loving animals on the planet. I know, I know…..we all have our favorites. I’ve had many animals of ALL types over my lifetime, but my Golden was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest dog I have ever owned. He had the most beautiful soul. When I got him from a breeder, he was actually for my son….who was I think12 at the time. There were about half a dozen puppies in the room and my son said to me, Mom….how do I choose? I said ….just sit down and play with them. Your puppy will choose you. After a half hour or so, one crawled up into his lap and instantly fell asleep. He said, I think I just got chosen! It was a beautiful relationship for the whole family.
I almost didnt watch this video because I knew I would cry....and I did. I'm glad I did though, this is so precious. I lost my poodle 6 months ago. She brought me many years of joy. Thank God for the animals! And thank you for the video.😊
Tears are streaming down my face watching this. Every animal deserves so much more than they usually get. My 17 yr old cat, Jackson, passed away 2 years ago. I miss him every day. After watching this, maybe it's time to adopt and give all the love and care I gave to Jackson to another in need. ❤

This is immense power but also a significant responsibility. If you have the time, energy, patience, space, financial stability, and a heart that loves unconditionally, consider sharing your roof and daily life with an abandoned and/or mistreated animal. This just broke my heart. First off, my two Goldens passed a couple of years ago, one at age 15, and the other at 16. It took me a long time to be able to see a Golden without crying. But, second: as cute as this video is, 1) you don't leave a dog outside to the elements, and 2) you don't give a living being as a Christmas gift (or Easter, or Valentine's ...). Adding a new member of the family in a deliberate manner. Christmas is most often a hectic time of year, when it's difficult to provide an animal the type of atmosphere where it can quietly get used to all of this - well - NEW! So, for me it's kinda a two thumbs down sorta reaction. But that dog .....! Made me realize that I need another Golden. Happy holidays everyone!
I like that they had an older dog and not a puppy. So many people want a puppy until they find out how much work it is or until it's no longer a puppy and then they dump it.
Thank you ,this gave me comfort😊 our beautiful dog died this Christmas season. Reminded me of how blessed we were to have him .I didn't fully understand what he did for my daughter until we lost him. I cried ALL the way through 😭😭😭!! Animal's love us unconditionally and all they want in return is to feel that same kind of love. So many unwanted unloved animals out there that it breaks my heart 💔😭! I wish I could take every one of them in they deserve a loving forever home!
30 yrs ago when I had a dozen Saints we had them dressed up as deer, hey could not cut 4 out, my sleigh and my bro in his elf costume and me as santa no padding. on a flatbed and a buddy of mine with his tractor took us to the childrens hospitals and nursing homes and boy i can still feel the warmth happiness and lots of tears of joy. Never forget Christmas is every day. Just one small kindness to another human down on their luck, makes all the difference and dont forget the homeless animals and shelter animals they need a nice helping of LOVE. I'd see those bumper stickers saying 'puppies aren't just for Christmas'. For decades I never 'got' the meaning because I was on the road working and didn't have pets. Then one day WHAM! it hit me deep into my heart and soul. My sister and I had to raise ourselves due to having a mom so mentally ill she couldn't function. So I got it BIG TIME... if you can't handle loving a pet from infancy to death best to leave to a loving somebody who can AND will. No animal should just 'be for Christmas'. No cats, dogs, rabbits, Guineas, fish, tarantulas etc My niece wanted a cat really bad. Her mom was a dog person...Jamie came over to Aunties house one day (as a little girl) and announced w a big, gleeful smile "My mom says I can have a cat as long as it lives over here with you. ( directly across the street) Pleeeaasseee" My sister has the guile of an attorney!!! Okay--- so Lo and Behold Aunt Lynn became a cat owner at age 36. At age 55 I slowly morphed into becoming a Crazy Cat Lady. Do not 'throw away' God's innocents thru neglect and abuse!

That was an entire minute that the dog was lonely and another 2 till he finds a home. My heart can't take that.

My golden retriever Gracie passed in 2010. I still cry over her. My papillon Juno passed 12-22-21. I still cry over her. They were both 11. I still have another papillon named Thor who turns 12 in March of 2023. My prayer is that my boy will live to be 14 or 15😊. God made dogs to keep us kind. I adore them.
Mine passed in 2010 too.. he was so connected to me! His name was Dusty! Now my Black German Shepherd Dog Harley is 10.. she is my shadow. Dog spelled backwards is God ❤ thank you God for giving us such an amazing friendship.
My beloved dog passed away in August 2017. He was my companion, my listener, my cuddle buddy, and my best friend. I still miss him everyday.

I recently adopted 2 fur babies..... Harley and Bailey.......i love them soo much...... couldn't stand the thought of them being alone and cold and hungry......all dogs deserve a good home and a loving person to take care of them♥️♥️♥️♥️
So do cats, guinea pigs, rabbits. canaries, parakeets, hamsters, well you get the idea, love them all.
Oh no this made me cry! My wee dog is lying beside me on the bed legs in the air☺. She's a wee rescue only had 3 months and she's loved so much. Wish I could take more. Be good to your pets, they are family❤

My 14 yr. old dog passed peacefully the day before Thanksgiving. Cried so hard one day, texted my son looking for consolation. Two large bags of bird seed were delivered from Walmart at 7:30 p.m. in the pitch dark of winter. Already have suet outside, but now I can watch the birds and squirrels go at it including cardinals which are lucky for our family. Donated all pet goods to our animal shelter. Thank you for the bird seed Secret Santa. And thank you Santa. Warmed my heart via your furry friend Buddy!
We lost our Golden, Gracie on Nov 23, 2021. I am so sorry about your loss, I feel your pain.

Gotta keep it clean. My furnace filters are $55. ea. if you buy bulk (4 min.). They were $33 a few years ago. Be good to yourself as you heal.

So many dogs need that kind of love, and that kind hope for a new home… I hope Santa gives them the gift of a new home… and as I look at my two sleeping sleeping, warm and safe under the Christmas tree I’m thankful that I was able to give them home. They were both rescues and they are well deserving…. As is my cat also a rescue.

Goldens are the most beautiful, loving animals on the planet. I know, I know…..we all have our favorites. I’ve had many animals of ALL types over my lifetime, but my Golden was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest dog I have ever owned. He had the most beautiful soul. When I got him from a breeder, he was actually for my son….who was I think12 at the time. There were about half a dozen puppies in the room and my son said to me, Mom….how do I choose? I said ….just sit down and play with them. Your puppy will choose you. After a half hour or so, one crawled up into his lap and instantly fell asleep. He said, I think I just got chosen! It was a beautiful relationship for the whole family.
Sometimes they choose you and then you just know.

I almost didnt watch this video because I knew I would cry....and I did. I'm glad I did though, this is so precious. I lost my poodle 6 months ago. She brought me many years of joy. Thank God for the animals! And thank you for the video.😊
My dogs always sleep with us…She’s part of the family ♥️. We keep her safe, warm, fed and LOVED

Tears are streaming down my face watching this. Every animal deserves so much more than they usually get. My 17 yr old cat, Jackson, passed away 2 years ago. I miss him every day. After watching this, maybe it's time to adopt and give all the love and care I gave to Jackson to another in need. ❤

This just broke my heart. First off, my two Goldens passed a couple of years ago, one at age 15, and the other at 16. It took me a long time to be able to see a Golden without crying. But, second: as cute as this video is, 1) you don't leave a dog outside to the elements, and 2) you don't give a living being as a Christmas gift (or Easter, or Valentine's ...). Adding a new member of the family in a deliberate manner. Christmas is most often a hectic time of year, when it's difficult to provide an animal the type of atmosphere where it can quietly get used to all of this - well - NEW! So, for me it's kinda a two thumbs down sorta reaction. But that dog .....! Made me realize that I need another Golden. Happy holidays everyone!

I like that they had an older dog and not a puppy. So many people want a puppy until they find out how much work it is or until it's no longer a puppy and then they dump it.

Thank you ,this gave me comfort😊 our beautiful dog died this Christmas season. Reminded me of how blessed we were to have him .I didn't fully understand what he did for my daughter until we lost him. This film helped me to see the importance of a pet and a child ! They are both so vulnerable and need each other 💞

30 yrs ago when I had a dozen Saints we had them dressed up as deer, hey could not cut 4 out, my sleigh and my bro in his elf costume and me as santa no padding. on a flatbed and a buddy of mine with his tractor took us to the childrens hospitals and nursing homes and boy i can still feel the warmth happiness and lots of tears of joy.
Never forget Christmas is every day. Just one small kindness to another human down on their luck, makes all the difference and dont forget the homeless animals and shelter animals they need a nice helping of LOVE.

I'd see those bumper stickers saying 'puppies aren't just for Christmas'. For decades I never 'got' the meaning because I was on the road working and didn't have pets.
Then one day WHAM! it hit me deep into my heart and soul.
My sister and I had to raise ourselves due to having a mom so mentally ill she couldn't function. So I got it BIG TIME... if you can't handle loving a pet from infancy to death best to leave to a loving somebody who can AND will. No animal should just 'be for Christmas'. No cats, dogs, rabbits, Guineas, fish, tarantulas etc
My niece wanted a cat really bad. Her mom was a dog person...Jamie came over to Aunties house one day (as a little girl) and announced w a big, gleeful smile "My mom says I can have a cat as long as it lives over here with you. ( directly across the street) Pleeeaasseee"
My sister has the guile of an attorney!!! Okay--- so Lo and Behold Aunt Lynn became a cat owner at age 36. At age 55 I slowly morphed into becoming a Crazy Cat Lady.
