The resell on his home is going to be amazing! He's done a lot of great upgrades that seem to mesh well. I've only seen the stairs and this pantry/bar, but so far, the improvements look good! - - I must say this type of trade/skill is something that should be presented to students in middle/high school. Not every kid is meant for college or nursing school. There are creative students that could benefit from learning a trade and go directly into the work force after high school graduation. I cannot believe I just watched him not only build cabinets, but also make a concrete counter top slab solo! Amazing!!!
I totally agree with you !!! I was thinking “ wow I can have my son to learn form this guy when he is 13 ( well he is 4 now …lol). But this kinda of skill set is soooooo rare that I really really appreciate it !!!! Thanks for the video !
When you asked your son if it was okay you were recording a video, I initially took it as sarcasm like "Am I bothering you?" because you were working and he had the TV on and was bothering YOU. But then I realised you were actually asking him if HE minded you talking and working, and that just made me smile at how thoughtful you were to your kid when many others would tell them to turn the TV off and go be elsewhere while dad works. You're a good father.
I love this. “Easy stuff, well not easy, but do it a couple times, then it’s easy stuff” love this channel for that exact mentality. No BS, it IS easy, you just have to DO IT!
I got 4 hours of sleep last night so I wasn’t sure if I was going crazy when I looked on the channel/my history and couldn’t find the video. I was like.... “did I just totally hallucinate seeing the beginning of a video where this project completed?”
I saw the JRE 👍🏼. Great video. All I can think of while watching this video is, “these kids are going to learn so from much you not only as a dad but as a carpenter/woodworker.
I just love your mentality! You're always so positive and handle mistakes like Bob Ross 😂 Just learn from it and do it again 💪🏻 Love the detailing on the back wall 😍 Who comes up with these gorgeous design ideas? Is it just you, just your wife or both of you? A BTS of some kind would be great!
I'm a joiner myself mate..and I like watching the different videos of people doing d.i.y and wood working..I have to give you a comment to say..honestly your videos are some of the best iv seen..I think its because it's all in the same house and you c the hole job from start to finsh and there easy to watch aswell..you dont drag it out and speed the right parts up and everything you do is to a high standard aswell..thanks for making good videos..keep them coming as I'm in lock down and need all the wood working videos I can get haha
I've probably binged all of your works on this house and it is so satisfying seeing the beginning to end of projects. This came out awesome, was a little confused on what your end goal would look like when you first mentioned it but you really nailed your vision.
I really like the detailing on the back wall-- great example of how a little bit extra consideration and creativity make the difference between 'good enough' and obviously (in a good way) custom built.
OMG , you have done an amazing job there , Im from the UK and im so envious of the fact that you get so much more better tools and stuff that we can't get so easily here and your so well kitted out in your garage . A real mans den for making stuff . I live alone and can't afford to have a builder do all my work as he is working on a studio which isn't cheap but it just goes to show you can do some things yourself . Ive learnt a lot from this and you have inspired me to look at the space under the stairs from a different light . I dont know where im going to put my hoover but i will have to adapt the space and make it slightly differently which is what this video has done for me . Thank you again , I bet your wife was well pleased with the results let alone family and friends .
Can you do a whole house tour?? And if you have one already does someone know the link? I love your aesthetic and I’m so curious to see the kitchen for inspo!!
hah I loved the aesthetic too! check out his wife's instagram @mintandpinedesign she has pictures of the interior of the house including the kitchen :)
Haha! My husband thinks I’m crazy with all the DIY projects I’m into right now. I think I have a larger tool collection then him right now!? 😂 This is amazing and looks so fun!
Dude dude dude dude dude!!!!!!! Come on!!!!! I watched from the very beginning on this project I’ve watched all the other projects. Man. I have been doing projects in my house too and I’m trying to get like you!!!!! This is pure GOLD. all the videos are lol def going to check back in a few months on that cement counter top tho 😂
Looks great man. Novice question: Why use side fillers on the cabinets instead of building the cabinets slightly wider? my only thought would be the measurements were too awkward, as in 11/32 of an inch as a half way or something.
Channel is blowing up. You were at 160k subs like 2 months ago. Thinking about starting up a similar channel as i fancy myself a diy'er also. Keep up the good work
A great project! For more storage space, you could build stair width drawers under the remaining stairs? Blankets and other winter weather gear or summer beach towels? Or board games for the little ones?
It is amazing how you think in build something that would last, it is well done and have design! Im studying industrial design and I just remembered why. 😍 love your work
This turned out awesome. I loved watching along on the stories and instagram. I'm remodeling an entire kitchen next year. Definitely looking adding some of the tips here to my toolbag.
Hi, if you have all ready done this I am sorry to be late but I just started watching you. Any way if you can make a video on building a mini house for your kids to play in that would be a great video. You do a great job on your work😁
That unused space you enclosed to the left of the pantry/bar, you could totally do pull out storage drawers. I know you said you had a mud room for the family’s boots and such, but it could be an easy spot for guests to leave their shoes and coats.
Great job, the only problem I have, really something I would have done a bit different. You have a bathroom/laundry room behind this wall. You will eventually need to replace some kind of plumbing behind the wall... I would have put a some kind of access panel in the lower cabinets so you can access the plumbing... Also, the tops shelves might be in the way to replace that plumbing also
I guess, if it is a laundry room you can replace it from the front side, but if it is a bathroom with tub shower, you would have to destroy the front side and then redo the whole bathroom...

I thought the same exact thing!
I love this. “Easy stuff, well not easy, but do it a couple times, then it’s easy stuff” love this channel for that exact mentality. No BS, it IS easy, you just have to DO IT!
I love your attitude "go make a mess and learn something from it" motivates the hell out of me

I love your emphasis on can do attitude. That is the key!
Thanks for fixing the editing errors. Nice build man!

Wow. Very professional. It looks great
I just happened to stumble upon your videos just now and I'm currently binge watching. Your work is impressive.
That move with the sawzall to vibrate the concrete was smooth!!!!! Should have highlighted that more man!!!!

This Chanel is so under rated
So funny that I am probably looking at Adding a closet under my stairs!!! Good details for any wall removal or opening. Thanks for posting!
I'd never replace having a closet storage under the stairs lolll
So many techniques in one video. Loved this one!
Fantastic looking work.
Great idea using a saws all without blade to vibrate the mold! 👍🏻👍🏻
OMG .... It looks gorgeous!!
I enjoy your content more than some of the shows that are on the HGTV channel. Keep up the great content!
Unbelievably gorgeous build, omg!

Such a. Great diy home project!! Thanks for another great video!! And showing all the details!!
Wow worthy the wait. Turned out great.
Absolutely love the worktop bravo. 👏🏾👏🏾
Pretty sick!! We always build kicks first, level them off and make them perfect, then you don't have to shim the cabinet itself!
Wow! You did a fantastic job!
Awesome pattern on the wall
Great video! I like that you didn't just buy the cabinets you build your own. Great work.
Great video Alex!
Looks great man. Novice question: Why use side fillers on the cabinets instead of building the cabinets slightly wider? my only thought would be the measurements were too awkward, as in 11/32 of an inch as a half way or something.
Sir.....after watching a couple of your videos. You definitely increase the value of your house.
Channel is blowing up. You were at 160k subs like 2 months ago. Thinking about starting up a similar channel as i fancy myself a diy'er also. Keep up the good work

Amazing work, Mr. Buildit!
It is amazing how you think in build something that would last, it is well done and have design! Im studying industrial design and I just remembered why. 😍 love your work

Disreguard... I now know it is a laundry room....
Excellent job 👍
