Thank you all for watching! Make sure and check the description for links to all parts listed in this video.
You’ve made me a big fan of the Sport Glide. I like the idea of a bike that’s both a cruiser and a touring machine. It’s two bikes in one.
So I was a fan, but after seeing all you’ve done to customize it, now I’m a BIG fan. I gotta go get me one!
Nice job on the custom parts. I have a 2021 sport glide and rode it stock for the first year. I've got a Rinehart slip on muffler,HD LED turn signals, a taller backrest and new hand grips !!! Can't wait to ride it with the new parts !!
You did a good job in making it your own! Also it wad great seeing the walk around of your bike. She's a beaut and I know you have to have a big grin on when you're walking up to her to ride and when you park her and are walking back into your house! Ride and stay safe!
Jd You know you bought thr right bike when it puts a grin on your face like this one does to me. Such a blast to ride!
Looks good.
What you done makes sense and flows well.
Hooah!
As a new rider in the UK, I am loving your channel. I currently have a Superlow 1200T and looking to change it for a sport glide so learning a lot from your videos👍
Well done! I really like it and appreciate you showing all the brands. Looks great!
My pleasure!
Very tastefully done ... one of the nicest I've seen to date. Cheers!
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
Nicely finished off ... the sisseebar loox really good on this bike!
I agree! Thanks for watching!
Loving the grips and mini boards, been looking for ideas for my Sport Glide for a while.
I prefer the original fairing, but the backrest on that looks solid
Thanks! I should have an updated video on what I’ve done to the bike out by early Spring.
Hey you did a beautiful customization of your Sport Glide, I am researching for a bike to buy, and definitely I would go for the same! thanks for sharing this nice video👍
I’ve done more since this vid. Maybe I can update in the updates!
Nice use of the call-out tags, man. Your bike looks great and this video is pretty sweet.
Thanks, Joe. Lots of time for such a short video, but I like how it turned out.
Great video, man. I just got a 2018 Sport Glide after coming off of a 2007 HD Nightster. I've been watching a few videos on it, when your test ride popped up. I thought your voice sounded familiar, so I watched the "things I love" vid, and recognized you from 5 Dirty Bikers. (awesome pods, by the way) watched this vid, and needless to say, I subscribed. Keep up the great work, and stay safe.
Billy Webb Much appreciated, sir! Thanks for checking out thr vids and the podcast.👍🏻
Awesome video, I love the way you went about calling out all the things you did to the bike
Glad you liked it!
Nice ride. Look at the sport glide
🤘🏻😆
Love your SG and congratulations for your videos. Ride safe. Cheers from Italy
Hello from the US!🤚🏻 and thanks for watching!
Knocked that one out of the park! Great video and awesome edits D!!
TheGearedRaven 72 Thank you!🤟🏻😆
Sweet B-roll. I really liked how you did the virtual walk around!
kidmoto22 Time consuming, that’s fer sure.
Nice upgrades and I like the LEDs my son has them on his bike.
They are incredibly bright and look great! Custom Dynamics is 👌🏻
Very nice, amigo! Love your Sport Glide! Great video! 🤘👽
Thanks, dude! Hope you are doing ok these days!
I think it's better to invest money to:
The 1st is - suspension. Monotube shocks & cartridges.
The 2nd is - tires.
The 3rd is - brakes. 15'' rotor. Bigger caliper. Master cylinder, maybe.
Then - transmission and engine.
Looks good. Too many people have butchered their sport glides (at least in my opinion) by doing way too much and changed the beautiful stock look in an attempt to make it into a completely different bike. I'm not a big fan of the Memphis fairing but everything else flows well 👍🏾
The Road Warrior works great. Lots of ppl are married to the stock fairing but I have two aftermarket windshields that just perform better.
@@DCyclemoto coo, do you plan on adding passenger floorboards at all? I haven't seen any yet with both rider and passenger installed.
The wife doesn’t ride enough for me to make that investment. No, for now!
Love the bike man, cool video to show it off :)
Thanks! 👍
loved the editing here, but I have a couple questions for you. Why did you pick the Sport Glide over any other softail or touring bike? I'm considering between the Low Rider S and the Sport Glide. I'm not concerned about the 107 vs the 114 ci engines, but how has the single disk brake treated you? How is the suspension on the Sport Glide both with and without a passenger? Lastly, what's your least and most favorite attribute of the Sport Glide stock? Thanks!
The bike stops like it needs to. I am fine with the breaks. Sport Glide comes with bags, a 2-up seat, fairing and passenger pegs, PLUS cruise control. Suspension is good with 2-up after making the preloader adjustment (easily done).
Least favorite is the stock fairing, which does nothing for decent wind deflection. Most favorite...cruise control. Hands down.
The only thing the LRS has over the SG is the bigger engine. I think you know where I stand on that one!
@@DCyclemoto Hey man, thanks for the quick reply. Alright, sick. I just love that midnight crimson color on the LRS though. Plus, cruise control is around a $200-$300 install. And I do want bags, but it's going to be around $500 for a decent Vikingbags set.
Point is, I'll immediately replace the fairing on the SG for sure haha. The breaks are a big concern, but sounds like you like them. But having the only thing I'd immediately replace or add being the fairing is a great bonus. I also want the Saddlemen two-up seat, but it isn't needed. Have you taken it on a pretty decent trip? Like a couple hundred mile, weekend trip.
I did a 800 mile trip last June with the stock seat. It did really well. From my house to Louisville, KY is exactly 300 miles and I only stopped once for fuel. Ended up doing 800 miles that weekend and was ready to do more when I got home. I did upgrade to the LePera Kickflip (similar to the Step-Up) and I really like it. Did 100 miles today and it was a great seat. I do think I need higher bars tho (next on the list).
@@DCyclemoto Sounds good man! Well, thanks for taking the time to respond. Stay safe out there, and stay loud!
wow it must be a lot of work to keep it looking nice?
Alot of money too 🤣😂
Tastefully done. Does the HD sissy bar lock right in or do you have to change out parts on the bike first?
Watch this: th-cam.com/video/vUerTAIJPpU/w-d-xo.html
@@DCyclemoto thanks man I just bought a 2018 with only 360 miles on it, and am actively upgrading it, need that set up for the wife. I’ve gone with a VH staggered big shot exhaust replacement and the Arlen ness big sucker chrome 90degree intake to give it more of that street fighter look when the bags are off. I’m gonna steal a couple of your ideas tho I like what you have done.
@@guins99 steal away and congratulations! You’ll love that motorcycle!
@@DCyclemoto lol are you in pgh? Small world.
@@guins99 i live in Illinois. I visit PGH for Penguins games.
Nice upgrades brother, ya got her looking pretty sweet 💯✌️😎. OZ
Great stuff and good work.
Very great video 👍🏼👍🏼 Welcome from France 🇨🇵
Thank you very much!
Your vid is essentially the only high quality view of that coil cover. I looked all over for that coil cover and you have it on your bike, thank goodness I don't have to go searching around for it anymore.
It’s a great looking cover. Fits the bike real well.
Hi is it possible to change forward pegs to mids at this model?
I believe some people have done this so it must be possible. I think the aftermarket has solutions for this. Try Get Lowered.
@@DCyclemoto Thanks I love this bike. The only problem for me is forward controls. I like to hold the tank with my legs while cornering. I'm 1,74 cm (i think 5.7 ).
Nicely done!!!!
Thanks!
Can you please let me know all the part numbers and items you need to order for the full fairings, screen and hardware for the Memphis shades fairing and screen please
Just go to MemphisShades.com and put in your bike model, year, make and it will populate what is available for your motorcycle.
@@DCyclemoto Thank you
Maybe a weird question, but how much room do you have behind the fairing before the bars? I just got a bar bag and my road warrior is ordered and on the way, hoping itll fit behind there it's decently big compared to a lot of bar bags I've seen
It’s tight but there is some room. I can measure if you need exact distance. Just let me know.
@@DCyclemoto if you happen to have a chance that would be awesome, but I dont want you to have to go out of your way to do it
Just measured! 5” of space
@@DCyclemoto thank you, really appreciate it
What tuner did you use after installing the AC and exhaust?
FP3
How do you like those handguards?
Great product! They are more than worth the money. Very strong material and do a good job with wind/debris.
so much more you can do
ROTL I have ideas!
Nice!
Thank u!
Just test drove a 2020 today! Awesome bike👍 posted the vid i took if your intrested✌️
You should buy a some 16 inch apes for it next
Brian Blair That’s a little too high for my taste. Some 2-3” risers should be perfect. Raising the bars is on my list!
🔥🔥🔥
👍😷🇺🇸
The Blue Bike & Doyle Hope your doing well Doyle!
@@DCyclemoto yep all good yall ?
Chugging along!
@@DCyclemoto yep same here but its get me little down not being able to ride like I like too get up in morning ride all day . Been staying closer to home. what I call winter riding stlye . And hoping we can get our May trip in just waiting and see if thing going open up . And to what extent.
Man, I’m in the house WAY too much these days. Need to ride more.
It's more easy to tell what's stock on your Bike 😂
Fine by me! I’d rather it be recognized by what model it is. Too much is too much.
Really nice bike..!!
REALLY annoying music..!!!!!!
🪣 - for your tears.
