Where was the “near death experience” while dozing? That was 22 minutes of an average Caterpillar trained operator doing a common, normal, routine job that is done all over the world every day. You should have titled your video “training video for flat land operators learning slope dozing making mountain road beds” and not play on “almost dying while operating a Cat D7” but then I guess telling the truth wouldn’t get you the “clicks” you need to feed your ego. By the way, retired from Caterpillar 22 years ago next month after working for Caterpillar 31 years, factory trained on each piece of equipment, ran D9G with ripper a lot and finish work with Caterpillar #12 motor grader my favorite of all the machines! Great memories and a great video of a conscientious operator making the road ahead of themselves.
Hello friend, there is no such thing as gaining clicks here, I have stated the danger in the field, the operator's sleepiness, as you put it, could cost his life, I have great respect for your experience, thank you..
@@Greyder_mehmetThis,is by no means “facing death”. I have been in much more dangerous situations. I am still surprizesd that that you can buy a machine lime that with no tilt cylinder. But the operator is verygood
Certzinly nothing dangerous about that not even really steep county making a road in that is a walk in the park any experienced operator could handle that no sweat cut roads in far worse country than that
Hey question. I spent many years on D9L. We had two on job. Have you ever had the chance to rip in tandem. A second 9 pushing ripper of front D9. Or even pushing one blade with two D9s in line. Works good in hard packed boulders or cutting fresh solid bed rock. Cut boulders on half. Like 6 or 8 foot around. Smoke and sparkes and materials wind rowing of the sides. Pushing ripper once when buried is a lot different than pulling for a rough ride 5 times. Don't spin your tracks as much. Don't bounce. Bust rock that you normally wouldn't. Working side by side is old but at times can move another extra third with both. Just curious. I imagine many would say you will break something. Maybe but i never did. In fact probably saved a lot of broken idler bolts.

I only wish that the camera would show us how steep the hillside is, instead of looking out over the land, also show us exactly what the Cat's blade is doing, not just the side of the D7 as it goes past. It's otherwise great video of building a hillside roadway, when does the road start from, and where is it going?
