Leake Central 8th grade Gators finished regular season as #2 seed with record of 7-3. The Gators went on to beat #3 seed Neshoba Central in the playoffs to secure a spot in the championship game where they faced the #1 seed Choctaw Central Warriors. The Gators upset the #1 seed Warriors in the championship to finish 9-3 on season & secure the jr high school’s 5th championship in 4 years under the leadership of head coach Ricky Breakfield & Olmec Martin.
