- In this video, Zahra, the 57-year-old nature lover, mountaineer, and environmentalist, takes us on a breathtaking journey through a lush, watery gorge. Watch as she fearlessly climbs steep rock faces with slopes exceeding 70 degrees, traverses the water by moving along the trunks of trees, and crosses handmade bridges. Along the way, Zahra collects litter and stores it in a corner to bring back with her on her return. See her cook lunch and tea over a fire, and take a moment to rest before continuing on her path. As she concludes her journey, Zahra collects the litter around her spring, packs it in her backpack, and heads back home. I'm amazed at how easily she was able to scale that sheer slope. Her energy, agility and sure-footedness was amazing to watch. I was disgusted at the amount of litter she relentlessly cleared up. The people who left that garbage should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

What a wonderful video. Great work by the videographer!!! Kudos. And, of course, our hats off to an intrepid lady who goes on what most be a day's excursion half way to a picnic and back, giving us by example a lesson in civics: Trail lovers pick up your own garbage and take it home when your trip is done. I considered myself a man in good shape by I am not sure if I would have been able to keep pace with her. For one thing, the almost vertical ascents AND descends would have been enough to cut the valor out of my heart.

Our streets are paved and flat and I have yet to see anyone except my wife and I, who will pick up a piece of paper or a beer can and put it into a bin that has been provided. The difference in attitude is remarkable. Zahra you are wonderful.

The thing I find amazing about these women is the range of movement and strength in their legs. I guess that comes from growing up in these steep mountains. If you watch closely you can see that they get leverage even at extreme angles and their sense of balance is superb.
