Thank you! I was well aware that the tin foil did not sharpen the blades but I continue to use it occasionally to “clean” any vinyl from my blade. I’ve seen bits of vinyl and instead of risking cutting my finger cleaning it, I just use the foil. Works every time.
I was showing someone design space last weekend and wanted to show an example of the font, not cutting out welded together, and I was pleasantly surprised
I never thought that putting in aluminum foil sharpened the blade, but I use it to clean the blade. I have never used weld or modpodge. Thank you for sharing
Ive got exacto knifes that come in a big pack for cheap...so u think well if it goes dull grab another. Well u get crao cuts and it is done after 2 uses. Honestly with blades u need to just but the cricut ones they are like 6 bucks and after 2 years u replaced it. The one my machine came with and inly because i felt it was old. Not really having an issue with the blade. Thise cheap blades will have u burning thru them and having issues with different materials. I just use the premium cricut one and leave it. No switching or replacing
If you ungrouped the text, you may still need to weld. If you are unsure, changing it to a light color will allow you to see the cut lines on the mat preview screen
I don't know if I'm missing something but so many of the videos say "will link this below" and it's not. This is a brand new video and tried to find the blades. I can't tell you how many items I check below to find the link and nada. Y'all need to capitalize on the affiliate links! So - where are the replacement blades?

I use foil to clean blades , not to sharpen
I loved his comment! Must say he has the guts to speak the truth! Keep it up ❤

It cleans the sticky off.
I don’t see the Amazon link to the blades.

Are you talking Cricut fine point blades, or Exactl knives and Cricut’s like brand?
One of my fave dies by Eileen Hull. Love the project
Poking the blade in aluminum foil never did a thing for me! I love new blades when needed!
I used the Makers Magic and the recommended brush. I had the same result as mod podge. 🤔
@lisachurch4967 Same here
I don't see the link for replacement blades you mentioned.
Pretty sure the link falls under "Shop Cricut Supplies"
Sorry about that. Here's the link for the replacement blades: amzn.to/49doSuU
I just cut out letters and it did not automatically weld them for me.
Same for me

why is the design space so slow
Ty I didn’t know we didn’t have to flatten the cursive letters anymore
Thanks for watching!
You never needed to flatten. Flatten makes something into a print then cut image. Weld is what you used to have to do. It is no longer needed.
No links listed for the blades and makers [modge podge substitute). Couldn’t remember the exact name.
Makers Magic
@@lisachurch4967 what is the link to the blades?
