Computer scientist here for some explanation! The thing you saw at 2:30 is called "phantom forces" and happens when one part of the object exerts force on another part of the object. Because the two parts are connected, it creates a feedback loop and you get this weird perpetual motion anomaly. Because this game approximates soft-body mechanics, the problem eventually fixes itself as the motion tends to push the parts apart. When there's friction involved or the two parts aren't strongly coupled, you get slower motion. I'm reminded of one of your past videos where a bicycle kept rotating slowly after a crash. What you see here is a more extreme version of that. With how hard you're pushing this game, it's not surprising that you encounter this. Fortunately it's fairly infrequent, which is a sign that the game's physics engine is quite well-made.
So i once drove a saloon cars head on into the corner one of those small barriers at Lakeside Park Raceway... the car was suddenly thrust up 30m into the air. Was it some other phenomena? I did get an ingame recording but I accidentally deleted it at a later date....
It is also scientifically proven that CarPal is a great channel, as he used both the imperial and *metric* system when describing the river speeds. :) 10/10 great job to CarPal. And also, no car can swim, though back in the mid-2000s, a company called Gibbs made an amphibious concept car dubbed the Aquada.
Technically, nature does allow rivers to flow against each other, but it's usually caused by either "a second river being forcibly diverted" or "some massive disaster temporarily giving the river somewhere better to flow into than downstream". For example, there was one disaster where some oil drillers in a lake accidentally hit an underground salt mine instead. The lake completely drained into the hole, ruining the salt mine (which was luckily evacuated in time), and it temporarily made part of the Mississippi River flow north.
Heck, I'm sure there are natural occurences without any of such causes, it just goes unnoticed as it can only happen in a crater-like area, and without the water flowing to an ocean but instead to another stream of water and vice-versa, the area will flood and become a lake or a sea, hiding the streams underneath (but at its beginning while it was still in the process of flooding, you'd see the rivers streaming against each other).
🤔🤔🤔 I wonder how well it would work to have 4 of your rivers, placed where each is feeding the next, at 90° - so arranged in a square, creating a "whirlpool" of sorts....
@@FoxDog1080 Hmmm... Based on what I see by Googling, then I'll have to say no, not *_quite_* what I meant I'm talking about something that would look like this: 👇👈 👉👆 _(but without a "dead zone" in the middle, tightly packed together; hence my square shaped whirlpool reference)_
Theres a reason the boat did that. Modders sometimes use phyical air bubbles or boxes they fit into their vehicles so they float (theyre invisible) ,that box mustve deformed as the boat was massacred in the battle of the water warriors , and for some reason if you fit a pressurised box (using code) into a vehicle ,bmg has a weird mechanic that that if you put it in water it has a slight force and causes it to rotate, the deformation from the smashing is so high (you know mods, theyre not so high quality) that this deformity acts as a catalysit to this rotating and the rotating is so violent it causes the vehicle to rise like that since the inertia is so high. If you look at one of Fillman86's video on a floating vehicle you will find that he runs into this problem but much smaller, it provides and visual example, Hope this explains 👍
@@jessefroome there's an invisible box that modders put into vehicle to make something float ,that box was smashed when the boat was destroyed, and caused the game to freak out and have no idea what to do, so it just made it spin really fast.
you could place mutiple facing eachother in a circle with an empty space in the middle, then offset them all the same distance and vector to create a whirlpool
The incident with the boat is most likely caused by a weird glitch in beam where the cars spin wildly out of control. There is only one configuration of a vanilla car in beam that does this: the convertible ibishu hopper. It’s a weird glitch that might’ve already been patched but idk
Maybe build a set where they run next to eachother or meet with a splice instead of a flat. That way you get shear and can really break the physics engine.
The fact that the car next to the pool hasn't been damaged shows how incredibly safe this attraction is.
Yea
Yea
No
Yeah?
the skoda has seen better days.

Less goo nerds, sorry btw. Just thought saying it would be funny

That sounds a lot like troll physics
normally you call the point at which two rivers converge a "confluence" in this case i think you could call it an event horizon
I believe so
I just appreciate the launch of the cargo ship and how the current almost immediately tore the keel clean off.

alright, it's scientifically proven skodas cannot swim. thanks car pal
Can Volkswagen swim?

Can fords or chevys swim?

Car Pal’s power has grown so immense that he’s now able to turn boats into eldritch abominations
I always wanted to see a water-powered car crusher.
