This is so amazing. I thought that making photo-realistic materials would be expensive and a hustle but it's actually quite simple. Thank you for this tutorial! You're a lifesaver!
Great job, very useful information. You are becoming my favourite rendering channel. Can you do an artificial lightning tutorial for Lumion? Thanks!! Keep it up
Obrigada!
Hey Nuno! Thank you for the tutorial! Is there such a program for Mac? Because this one (from this Vid.) is only for windows. Maybe you know about an alternative for the mac?
Awesome tutorial! I have been using many other peoples materials for texturing in blender and now that I know how to make it myself I can get to work on making my own, thank you so much!
Não posso deixar de dar os parabens, não só pelo excelente tutorial como pelo o facto de ser um português neste meio e com 125 mil subs! ( o nosso sotaque Ingles é sempre apanhado por outro Tuga :) ) Forte abraço!
I finally succeeded ...but the result in D5 render doesn't look at all to the one in the soft materialize.....and I didn't understand your stuff about the Alfa channel in Photoshop..maybe it has something to do with my final mess... thanks Nuno for your valuable tutorials...by the way ...D5 render is growing in a monstuous way eating all the space on my hard drive...I worked on 4 small projects and it reached 60 Go on my HDD....wow...is there any way to control it to don't grow up that fast lol...and reduce the space it taking ???
Before watching this video , i was using materialise 🤣 , it's an epic software , by the start of the video , i was like just use materialise , and you did 🤣🤣🤣 , great content nuno as always!
You can search each up, my favorite map of them all is the normal map the normal map is the map that kinda leads where light goes, like if a normal map is great for tiles to make it like light is interacting with it as if its a 3d tile but its a texture
Great Videos.... Using images tat are 4, 6 or 8k will this increase the Lumion file size? Or can the basic colour images be saved as DDS to maintain the detail and reduce the model file size? Many thanks.... great Tutorials
The more content you add to your scene, the larger the file will be. Yes, you can add the Albedo with higher resolution than the Normal Map, if you want to save space and keep some quality to your maps.
@@NunoSilva3d No. I need to create a PBR siding texture. For example VOX siding www.vox.pl/elewacje-siding-winylowy-nature#section-3 when there is no photo , but there is a profile drawing, you can create a model from the drawing in SketchUp, but here is how to convert a relief model to a PBR texture. Is this possible?
Hey Nuno, are you working with or for MIR? I recognized one of your works from your intro - Pink House - and it looks very similar to one of their works. Just intrested. And btw awsome tutorials. I worked with Cinema and I'm shifting over towards Lumion with the help of your Videos.
That's great that you are starting to use Lumion! Welcome! :) No, I don't work for MIR, but I do like some of their works. I took inspiration on that scene to make mine. As well as an interior they have. Since I considered them to be one of the best, I try to achieve the same result using Lumion.
Wow that's amazed these is really to something get in about thanks for these wonderful tut's and inspirations !!! Hi sir myself Rony I'm an VFX CG student from INDIA
Thanks for the tutorial! However, I noticed that the displacement map in Lumion does not displace the geometry in 3D like Materialize or other programs do but rather simulate the effect of that in 2D. A wall will still be a flat plane when you look at an angle. There are no protruding or receding parts. It does shift the internal textures around in 2D though. Hope Lumion will implement a fully-fledged displacement function soon!
Yes, you are right, Lumion does not use Tesselation, that's what you are looking for to have the same effect as in Materialize or other programs. Let's hope in the future they will implement this!
Hey Nuno,😃excellent tutorial, however I'm looking to use the materials I create in UE5. Does this mean I still have to add all maps to create a material inside of UE5..? thank you again.🤗

There is so rare things than this video which fully illuminate the 3d world
Very useful trick. Thank you for sharing with us.

Hey Nuno! Thank you for the tutorial! Is there such a program for Mac? Because this one (from this Vid.) is only for windows. Maybe you know about an alternative for the mac?
Hi Nuno, Great videos - I'm learning a lot from U. Why do U prefer TGA files to TIF's. Is there any reason to it ? Thank U. J
Glad you like my videos! :) Well, TIF files usually are really big.
You created ambient occlusion map. I didn't see it been used
In lumion, displacement looks flat from the side.
That was awesome ❤
Gracias Genio!!!
You welcome! 👍
It is so helpful
hello I have a problem with materialize the photo thumbnails are white
Is there a version of materialise for Mac or a program like it for Mac?

thanks bro keep up
Will do. :)
useful & THANKS
Hi! Why did you make the AO-Map if you didn't use it in Lumion?
What is the name of the SW you used when creating the maps?
You from Brazil?
From Portugal.
Hello,
I ran the program and but could not import textures into the program.
What could be the problem?
A path to your files should be in English only.
I'm having the same problem.. the comment here about paths English only did not worked for me. :(
@@franF14 hi, you cute btw)
I might help, describe please more specific, what you see in the program
Cloudy days are sooo rare here , am so unlucky 😔
You can use a large sheet to cover the sun. :)
@@NunoSilva3d will try that ,thanks
What is the AO map for?
To create contact shadows.
@@NunoSilva3d How did you apply it? Is it on lumion or photoshop too? thanks for replying!
Nuno! are you an Aussie?!
Hi! No, I'm from Portugal. :)
@@NunoSilva3d Cool, I didn't know they had eucalypts over there :)
Yes, we have. Many of them. But it's an invasor species.
Dont show picture in my pic. :(

Indeed! :)

Could you please explain what did you do in photoshop?
Hi, I explained in the video. Which part exactly?
@@NunoSilva3d After saving materialize project, you opened some maps in Adobe Photoshop. I couldn't understand what did you do there.

gloss and reflection maps available ?
You didn't explain how you put the glossy image on the alpha channel
