  • This Livestream is a chance for people to put their names into a hat for a weekly live reaction! For every $5 sent through the Superchat, we'll write down your name and requested song, then after 10 minutes of collecting entries we'll draw a name and react live to the requested song! We'll keep the names in the hat from week to week, so there's always a chance for you to hear the song of your choice reacted to live.
ALSO - If you want to send in a request during the week to be entered in to the draw, send $5 to outright.adventure@gmail.com and I'll add it to the bin.

Brilliant album, not the first choice of most Yes fans but definitely a favourite with many serious fans and a truly groundbreaking work (Relayer was far ahead of its time in the mid-seventies,boith muscially and in the expressive terrain it covered - especially Gates of course). I think Gates is practically unique in 1970s music in many ways... - To Be Over is a really beautiful song too, uplifting, poetic and with stunning musicianship and vocals - just check out Squire's bass and the way it moves from gently pumping bossa-nova-like rhythms to big clouds of roaring thunder, without ever losing its clarity. I love this album so much. 💗

This has been one of my favorite songs, so hopefully you are gentle with it... the song really is a guitar tour de force. Thanks to Patrick! They do cover a musical theater song - Something's Coming is right out of West Side Story.

Echo on the messed up intro created quite a nice beat, actually! 😄
    Congrats on the vaccination!
Sorry, the new time of live draws is just impossible for me. Would like to put a final request in the bin, but it would be rather a bummer for viewers, if it gets picked and the one requesting it isn't even present.
BTW Natalie has a very polite way to signal: "Dad, what are you wasting your time with here?" 😆
And as I can't suppress the music nerd for more than 5 minutes: this was the moment of calm and beauty. The rest of the 'Relayer'-album is rather turbulent and demanding to listen to.
YES are absolutely worth exploring, they may seem a bit overblown and esoteric at casual listen, especially if you are not familiar with a lit of prog, but they are absolutely great and melodious if you're willing to just float along.
As a fan of musical, Natalie might enjoy some of the more 'epic' tracks by the Alan Parsons Project.

Awww… WELP has whelped a father-daughter pair of prog rock puppies. That fact is as neato as the music. If you like prog, an uplifting vibe and a side dish of spirituality - Yes will show you a deep rabbit hole. Trivia: prog was originally called Art Rock. Bands hated that label, then it became progressive rock . The bands didn’t like that either. It is now so deeply fixed that it has the nickname ‘prog.’ I can only bear one Gizzard Lizard video in a thousand. I hope there’s more prog in your future - your reactions and inter reactions are pretty cool.

I love Yes, and am always glad to see others exposed to such great music...
However Welp, 15 and a half minutes to get to the actual song that the reaction is supposed to cover?!?
You could have played most of the song The Gates of Delirium (side one of the lp, 22 min), and you should have, cuz it's a great and much more challenging piece.

I think rather than a pedal steel I believe it was a lap steel guitar
(no pedals, a little more mobile)

@@edwardmeradith2419 Sorry, but Steve Howe played only the Double neck Steel for almost five decades. I've seen Yes Concerts since 1974 and he, Steve Howe, had always only played the Double neck Pedal Steel Fender model. Thats true, believe me. Look in the original second Solo Album of Steve, 'The Steve Howe Album from 1979. If you open the Cover you can see this Guitar, only this model he is playing live on Stage. God is my witness. ☺ Kind Regards Heinz (from Munich/Germany). Have a wonderful weekend. 🌳🥀🌱❤✨
