You know how much more money the racing industry would get if they used, Protective boots on horses. After all with the race tracks providing tack would it be that hard to get some boots for 12 horses? Maybe 350 for good ones? 12 pairs? They make like 4,000,000 Per year. smh
everyone complaining about “all this beating” must not watch normal horse racing, where the jockeys literally beat them with the corner of the whip as hard as they can throughout almost the whole race. these guys are just using a rope, and hardly every stride. pay attention before you get angry. and also, this isn’t abuse, because these animals weigh a ton and have huge, powerful muscles. it’s hardly hurting them as much as you think it is. and finally, native americans have a known history for being good with horses and treating them better than the european americans and their descendants (overall). so keep your racism out of judging their behavior. clearly these horses love to run. they’re not suffering. || i have massive respect for the first horse in the winner’s relay- he was literally in the very back when they started, unaware the flag went down, and that secretariat jr had fought his way to the front from the outside by the time the straightaway came. good horse and a good race overall.
I didn’t see any constant whipping. Is there a quirt used some? Yes. Some swinging of quirks and couple pops. All of these horses are galloping easily, fit and look great. Don’t see marks on horses like after some regular crops used.
@Michael Burkinshaw I don't like how hard they whip the horses, I know this is a race and all, but it just seems a little abusive to me. That's all, just my opinion, but maybe it's just me. Never been to a race like this before so I don't know how they treat their horses, but I feel like the whipping is a little unnecessary.
racing whips are designed differently :) they’re simply a high dense foam with leather around them for durability. they don’t hurt NEARLY as bad as jumping whips or dressage whips do. it allows them to be used more constantly.
@Michael Burkinshaw What do you mean "to keep his horse going"?? Sounds like you don't know jack about horses. And furthermore, it was more than a "few" smacks. smfh
Fantastic bareback riding, your ancestors can be proud of you!
I mean it’s better than tradeitional racing but still no need for the whip
I hope our Native American brothers got compensated well for giving such an entertaining and uniques horse race.
Very nice riding. Very nice fit and sound horses. Fantastic riders
This was so fun-horses love running w/o 'girdles' on; *("that is the best one can get out of horses").
lulu winke ?
@@jennyandersson6238 yeah, I read that *comment and decided to include it in my response...as in so ridiculous...
lulu winke okay...?
Great riding, I’m sure your ancestors are extremely proud. However no need for a whip especially if so far on front.,
It’s just an encouragement the horse might’ve finished with a better time because of it
Looks like they dont even have bits in their mouths, these horses are enjoying the competition. Way to go guys your horses arebhaving fun

@@stevie0754 actually that’s false look it up
Appendix Quarter Horses ??
Barbara D'Ascenzo thorough breds
Their riding is so impressive. Brian cruising across the finish line, horse in full tilt, no hands. Crazy.
Mein Lieblingsteam: Dieser Braune Indianer weil er das Pferd nicht geschlafen hat
Welcher? Also kannst du irgendwie ne Zeit angeben?😅
Never gives the horses any fucking credit. Sad.
Is the constant whipping necessary?
No. It's abuse, just less.

Tancie Mette' so dramatic.
@Michael Burkinshaw never get a horse.
What breed are these horses? I feel like there going faster than the English thoroughbreds in racing and one looked like an Arab.
Damn straight they are beautiful, fit racehorses.
Damn
Awful all this beating. Poor horses
I know. Especially the winner...why was it even necessary when he was going to be the clear winner? smh
Look again. Loose quirt rawhide with tassels. Did you ever watch polo or regular horse Racing?

@Michael Burkinshaw great!
Wow,
poor horses
All these horses look underweight
Range fed Beautiful horses
they’re sport horses :) they have a more athletic/ skinny body but they have lots of muscle!
Fat horse aren’t healthy. Just like fat people. They aren’t underweight. They are fit athletes!!
Fit race horses!!
Have you ever seen a fat runner
Honestly I don’t like this because they hit the horses and some look super skinny in a bad way and the horses good get hurt badly
seeing ribs on a horse isn't super skinny. Weight loss on a horse isn't concerning until you see the hip bones sticking out
All I see is snowflakes
Because your looking in the mirror. Haters are going to hate. That's what makes Natives great!😹
