LOVE IT.....at 65 makes me smile to see Mr. Steve Forbert.....great folk and thank-you for all your music mate.....much love❤
2023 here. Thankyou for your beautiful work. I know every song has meaning for you and you also have songs from other artist that struck a chord with you when you first heard them. Song for Katrina is my favorite. It is so beautiful and has such meaning for me. Thankyou again. Greetings from Melbourne Australia
Good old Steve, beautiful song, love it!
Such a wonderful story...stick in the eye selfless reflection
How relevant to my experience and respect for Steve's work. I met Steve in 1977 at bar in West New York (Page101 in his book) in North Jersey, I was 18. Those were great young years for me, and I have never forgot the raw talent Steve brought to his performances back then. It's amazing how the years have passed us by, but your talent in song writing and live performances have never changed. Great song Steve, Great memories as well. Thank you, my friend!
Thanks Steve Forbert. Very nice. Heard you live in a bar 15 years ago. You were great. Still are.
Great song singer see you at New Hope god bless
First heard your music in the outback of Australia in 1981 /83working on an oil rig. Played jackrabbit slim so much then lost touch until earlier this year and wow am hooked again. Thank you so much for your music and hopefully I will get to listen and watch you play live in Australia before long may I respectfully suggest playing the Brunswick Heads Hotel. You would go down a storm with the clientele there. Cheers mike price
The Genius Troubadour Musical Art Form Dude!: Steve Forbert! - Thanks Man!
I first heard your music Dude, at a party - in the 80's. Initially, I couldn't get your cd's in IRELAND - ... Then ... I received the "Alive on arrival" cd! posted Trans-Atlantic to IRELAND as a present!: FACT!: WOW!!!!
I have had the privilege of shaking your hand at the Errigal Inn Belfast at your Live Performances!: Keep Doin' what your Doin' Man!
Roll On The Next Tour Of IRELAND! ☘
No one does this masterpiece like Steve Forbert💯
Steve sounds as good now as he did when he started😊
Everything works for me. Time to subscribe.
This version is incredible. Hits close to home.
Great song choice. Steve's is one of those voices you know immediately. Thanks for doing this one.
Makes me think of my hometown where my brother at nearly 60 has lived all his life and never wanted to leave. What I wouldn’t give to move back home even though all I would see are ghosts.
My younger brother turned me on to Steve after he first saw him in buffalo in 1978. Since then we have enjoyed many shows and getting to say hi to Steve. He is always great live. Last show i saw before Covid, in Mass.
Well done! Thank you Steve.
Steve Forbert, The best. We see him every time he comes through our area Once the pandemic passes, we will be back in the audience on the next tour. Stay safe Steve.
Love this!! I have been listening to Steve since the beginning of his career, 40 years plus!!

What a rich full cover - nice job Steve! Thanks for the years of memories.
His magnificent voice is just as awesome
Perfect song for a Steve cover. Love this guy!
Love this guy..great cover..grew up listening to this by Danny O'Keefe when hanging with my mom in beer joints.I used to cook in one she worked in when I was 14.Try doing that now. Lol
Regardless of the fact that this is a cover, it's as unmistakably Forbert as it can be. So therefore I love it!
very nice Steve
man! i would love to have a cup of coffee with this guy
Love Steve. His voice is still wonderful. Would love to hear him live.

We're all human beings - my gosh Steve where's your youth gone to? Seems it went away with mine... Thanx a lot for your voice and your sound! God bless you!
Been listening to him forever it seems. OK, so where was this filmed, especially the beautiful old houses on the water. How could they be so run down?
I saw the buildings in the first couple of shots and I said to myself, “I know those buildings.” I kept watching and seeing other shots of them confirmed it - right by where I grew up. It’s Fort Hancock, a former United States Army fort at Sandy Hook in New Jersey. It’s an historic landmark.
They were once military housing, then the military left the base. For years, the houses were made available for the residents of group homes for the developmentally disabled to vacation in. I know because we took our clients there when I was working at one in college. That was 35 years ago or so. It's a gorgeous place. No development beyond the military base. The Atlantic to the east, Staten Island to the west. Breezy Point Brooklyn to the north. I think Sandy took a big toll on the houses a few years back.
Steve! Come back to L.A.!!!
Great tune. Anyone know where this video was filmed?
To me, it looks like the abandoned barracks at Sandy Hook, NJ
Steve looks like the old Mrs. Stengwiet in our neighbourhood
find a place deep in flyover country.
Saw Steve in Milwaukee early 90'sfantastic show talked to him after the show great time and great show 😎🎸
Love you bro. Should have modified the lyrics to say everybody is leaving LA . Get out of pinko commie land as you can! Loved your work since ‘78
Way overproduced . Steve a guitar and his harp would have been. Sweeter.
Ate many of breakfasts there...
Sandy Hook ! Sweet tune steve .
I love the song. I love the sets. 🙋🧡
Playing in Glasgow on 28 June look forward to seeing him an old favourite .Thank you for posting
