FYI you can join the free trial through Steam from the FF14 store page and clicking on "Download Demo" Also I'd make clear the difference between Weaponskill/Spell being GCD and Abilities being OGCD. Otherwise pretty comprehensive and good starterguide.
I have a friend getting into 14 and I’ve been trying to help onboard him without overwhelming him, but it’s tough. There are so many things you take for granted after playing hundreds of hours, and it becomes hard to remember what exactly *you* would have liked to know as a sprout. But this video is so thorough, so clear, that I can point my friend to it and know he’ll have all the information he needs. Thank you so much for putting together such a helpful guide!
Monthly payments are very much what keeps the games going though. They are able to push quality content more quickly and abundantly. The one time payment and f2p mmo's rely on heavy cash shops to get by (alot of times p2w), and still fail to put decent content and expansions out. All in all, i'd rather have it this way. Support an mmo I like and in turn get quality back. And FFXIV is doing a great job at that.
@Dexxter Personally I'd say it has the same love that classic had, but built around a single-player-RPG style core storyline that connects everything from the initial launch to the newest patch. You play all of it in order. If that sounds remotely good I think you'll enjoy it. It feels new and old school at the same time; like wow and yet very different. Plus the raiding is at least as good as in wow. The free trial is a no-brainer imo.
I'm a brand new player and started alone. This has helped me in some pretty big ways. I usually do side quests first in games so the advice to be choosy absolutely saved me. And showing us the menus and how customizable things are is so helpful. oh and the teleporting saved me so much time. Thank you so much
I've watched a lot of these beginner's guide videos and this is by far the best one I've seen. In fact I liked it so much I saved it so I can refer back to it. Great job man!
Lucky Ghost, you are master class at understanding who your audience is. This video is shockingly well put together. Each topic articulated clearly with respect to new players. I can’t thank you enough for taking the immense amount of time to put this together. Truly seems like this should be a sponsored video. I don’t believe I have ever watched an hour+ long TH-cam video all the way through. Until this one
I have to say Super long video but man your speed is on point, you go fast enough so i dont get bored but give me enough details i get informed. Many thx :)
38:45 The Hunters Log really helps, most, during low level alt grinding. If you're working on a Job you can use these at low levels to help boost your level grind and break up the monotony. So while its not significant in the higher levels, its dramatically significant in the lower (
Incredibly comprehensive video, with not a second of wasted time or rambling. Exceptionally well done. I haven't played since before the 1st expansion, but I've been strongly considering it. Thank you so much for this. I'm saving this for near-future reference. Liked, subscribed, commenting for the algorithm
Will be starting this tonight for the first time and this is one of the best beginner videos I’ve ever watched. Learnt so much before I even start the game. Great Video.
AMAZINGLY complete guide. As a WoW refugee (player since beta vanilla) I was beginning to think I need to keep the sprout icon for the next year.... I am saving this to show my wife, who still is 'nope' due to the sunk cost of 17 years. With this guide I may be able to persuade her to come along for a new journey. One thing I'd love is a video specifically for the 'replay' feature (pro/con) for when I am going back to help her.... how much is available, and/or anything I need to be aware of during the replay feature. EDIT: Oh yes, I subscribed because of this guide!
I’m a WoW refugee too!!! My son is trying to convince me to play FF14 with him, but I always play Druid and they don’t have a Druid, so here I am researching 😂
Putting this together must have taken a lot of time and energy. It has helped me out so much and I cannot express enough how much this helped. Thank you Lucky Ghost
Absolutely brilliant! Best guide by far, and I’ve seen many of them. Perfect timing for this, I have many friends looking to get into 14 but I still feel like there’s so much I’m still learning. Again, brilliant.
i've been playing the game for about 10 days now and i've repeatedly come back to this video (and others you've made) and it's been a HUGE help. thank you so much!!
Hello Lucky! I watched a bunch of your ESO guides back when I played that and they helped me a ton! I'm happy to see you here! I've been playing FF14 for about four months now and there was a couple things in here that were not completely correct. The big EXP boost for making a character on a preferred world called Road to 70 is now Road to 80 as of endwalker. You get the big EXP bonus all the way to 80 now! Mine wore off a week into endwalker and I got to watch it change over. You do not have to return to your inn room to reactivate glamour plates after you equip new gear! In your character screen the box between gearsets and auto equip best gear is a reapply glamour plate button! The only restriction is you have to be in a major city. And a little tip of my own- You touched on macros in combat but anyone who sees this should also know they are a net loss in efficiency as they work on 1 second increments and the GCD is 2.5 seconds. So for every skill you string together you are losing .5 seconds worth of cooldowns. For every 6 skills you macro you could have used a 7th skill without them.
My friend just come across this video and I have to say I just play the game but right now I am so much into the game and hyped. One of the best videos tutorial that I haver seen in my life, and I am a MMO vet, played WoW hardcore for a few years but this is literally the the best tutorial that I haver seen for a beginner. It's long yes but the detail and care is 10/10! Thanks
Picking up the game this week when sales resume. Quality guide through and through. I don't know if I've ever watched one all the way through, but this one I did. Outstanding work.
@@amanawolf9166 I got it yesterday and it's not bad at all. They have a new regional Oceana server up now, which has reduced load on other servers. I got into the EU server and during peak time the queue is about 20-25 but that's always within a minute or so. Have not seen much issues the the latency.
@@amanawolf9166 I know it’s 5 months later but picking it up on a mid scale pc 2070 super and a 3600 cpu. Game runs really well on my end. Of course internet and servers are a factor but from the session I played yesterday game didn’t have much to any server lag. So as long as you can physically run the game you should be golden
Probably THE most complete guide i have seen so far, i've been playing FFXIV for a few years now and i enjoy helping out and "mentoring" new players every now and then. This is probably the only guide i've seen that talks about HUD layout (and a bunch of other things) with such depht, and i commend you for that! I will definitely recommend this to new players ^^ I cannot stress enough the importance of having a HUD layout that looks and feels intuitive. The same goes for placement of your skills on your hotbar / crossbar (for controller users). Experiment with your settings, HUD and placements of skills as early as possible so that it becomes muscle memory by the time you're in late game. FFXIV has one of the most customizable settings i've seen in a game, so make it your OWN! Don't be afraid to completely change the look of your HUD because like this video shows, you have 4 slots of customizable HUD layouts to play around with! Another small trick is to put your unlearned skills into your hotbar so that you're already used to their placements. And for those who tend to miss out on the enemy cast bars (like i did lol), there's an option in the HUD settings where you can separate the Target's health bar from their cast bar, and scale them however you want :)
Fantastic guide! Very well prepared, perfectly recorded. I can literally feel the care for new players, not just a video for people to watch/listen to. Thanks a lot, I did watch to the end ;)
Great guide. I've previously played FFXIV over the years, even before it was relaunched as 'A Realm Reborn'. Watching your guide caused me to want to get back into it. Again, Great work.
This video is actually amazing. I literally played my first like 5 hours of ff14 yesterday and then watching this video after playing the game for a little is so helpful cuz i understand what you're talking about with menus and symbols and stuff. Such a fantastic guide, thank you.❤❤❤
I have been TERRIFIED to start this game now, tail end of 2022 into 2023, considering it's been out for SO long and I haven't had a single experience with it. I don't have any other friends who play MMOs at all, and it's been about 10 years since I played my last one (I was an avid RO player back in high school but haven't touched one since). I'm not good at online games and chatting with people gives me the heebie jeebies. This guide has single handedly convinced me to finally register an account and at least get started. Knowing there are so many people out there who are so much further ahead is daunting, but not nearly as much as it was before watching. Even just the tiny fact of knowing I can play a lot of the beginner dungeons with NPCs is a selling point. I'm scared of learning the game, being terrible at it at the beginning, and then getting yelled at - so this is great. Definitely saving this and subbing to the channel for further help and awesome content. Thank you!!
Actually ffxiv are very forgiving for new players, so dont be afraid to try to play dungeons and other group activities with others, my group was wiped like 5 times during trial, and nobody complained, got angry, it was opposite, was told what to do etc..and we finally beat it, also try joining free company its something like clan, can help you do dungeons, trials or even raids.
Dude, I've tried to get into this a while back, and trying to get back into it. This guide literally is what I needed. Thank you for your time putting this together. Earned a sub for sure!!
Your voice is so calm and reassuring lol. I just came back to the game and I don’t wanna skip any sections because I’m relearning things I glossed over in my initial setup
I haven’t played this game in a couple of years. And wanting to get back into it and remember everything was hard. Thank you for this video! It’s great!
Note about the glamour section! You don't have to go back to an inn room to change/re-apply your glamour. In between the "recommended gear" and "gear sets" icons in the character menu, there's a "glamour plates" icon that you can use to quickly apply glamours almost anywhere. From what I can tell, if you can use a mount in an area, you CAN'T use glamour plates in that area but it's DEFINITELY more efficient to use the plates rather than to trek to an inn every single time.
Just typed basically this out..even used the word trek. glad I scrolled a little longer as a quick second check to see if anyone else mentioned it before I hit send. 😂
Lucky Ghost, I am about to start FF XIV and your guide by far is the best one I ever found. Thanks for all the detail, down to the Nitty Gritty. Now my only problem is how to find a good Free Company to join.
I’m returning to FFXIV after a few years of not playing, so I wanted a refresher. Not only did I get that, but I learned new things as well. Phenomenal video, thank you!
@@zilverheart yes, it’s not worth playing eso due to the lazy dev team not fixing any bugs and bashing their playerbase for speaking out. They’re also really greedy and talk shit to their playerbase for speaking out on that too
@@zilverheart Too add on to what E R said, the combat is superrrr boring in ESO, unless if you’re a die hard elder scrolls fan and want more lore than there’s better MMORPGs such as this one
Two days into FF and am very pleased to have found this tutorial, this is going to save me a lot of trial and error into the future. Thank you for putting the time and effort into making this such a detailed guide. Good on ya Lucky Ghost.
One the best overall beginner guides I've seen here! I will add one little bit of advice, if you're doing your first alliance raid check to see which group you're in either based on what side of the room you start on or in your party list. I had no idea this was a thing and my silly little sproutness ran most of it on the wrong side LMAO needless to say people were not happy and I couldn't for the life of me understand what I was doing wrong. Awesome video though and so helpful!
Amazing guide! Well done! Wish I had found something like this when I attempted to play FFXIV previously but got overwhelmed. Thank you so much for you efforts!
I've been casually jumping in and out of my free trial for months but this has been the BEST guide on FF XIV I've seen yet. Thank you. I feel a lot more comfortable going in as a solo without friends lmao
Been playing the game for 1 year today, I remember starting by watching this guide to learn the basics. I've met a lot of people who talk to me everyday, I've become a mentor, I touch almost all content in the game and grinded multiple relics and now I'm doing savage every weeks in party finder! So I gotta say, from the bottom of my heart: I hate you dude, my life was so much better before this.
I've just started my FFXIV adventure from scratch again for the 100th time, it's been a few years since my last attempts and I am taking notes from this video! I come from WoW so I'm familiar with a lot of it, but still there's a lot that's different here :D Thank you for making this video!
I remember when I started this game, I had no friends to play with so nobody told me the MSQ should be the biggest focus. I picked up a bunch of pointless side quests around gridania, did some levequests cause I thought they would help me level, got to like level 20 and then gave up on the game cause I found it boring and didn't know what to do. I came from WoW where the story isn't the focus at all and you kind of just grind levels to get to endgame as fast as possible so I went into FF14 with the same mindset and it just doesn't work in this game. My biggest advice to any new sprouts out there feeling lost - do the MSQ! It gives loads of XP and pretty much every area and piece of content is locked behind MSQ progression. You literally cannot get through the game without it. The story is my favorite in any game ever but it's a slow burn that requires paying attention to hundreds of hours of character and world developement. It's a story that rewards you for remembering and noticing things from previous expansions and connecting dots. I will always encourage people to give it a decent chance since it truly does make the rest of the game so much richer, but if you're adamant you don't want a story and just wanna do mmo things and raid, then skip the dialogue/cutscenes. Either way, the MSQ HAS to be done, there's no way around it.
Note, the glamour dresser also can access anything in your armoire. Make sure any item you can place in the armoire get put in there, it's free storage. There are icons in the upper right of any piece of gear that will let you know if you can put it in the armoire.
Can't believe I just watched an hour and 20 minute video for a game I have almost no intention of buying. But it was so well put together and interesting that I just kept listening while I worked. Great job!
This video was exactly what I needed, coming back a half year after playing a free trial only to level 32. If I knew it, I'd mostly forgotten it, and was getting off to a slow start. I still don't understand how there can be an hour and 20 minutes, and all talking quickly, and all of it really useful to me - but this gave me a smooth transition back into the game I just bought, and then some. I did a LOT of research last year to start the game, but there were so many buttons and indicators and settings I never had noticed and that are super useful. Thank you!
You make the best beginner guides of any I have found on TH-cam. Thanks for all the work you put into helping me and many others enjoy gaming more by starting us out with some great tips and easy to understand information.
In searching for a new MMORPG (WoW refugee) I struggled with Final Fantasy at first. I downloaded the game, played for about 15 hours, got overwhelmed, quit the game. I've recently given it another go, with a clear mind and am LOVING it! Everything is built into the systems to make playing less stressful and it's so refreshing. I don't have to download 20 add ons just to make sure I'm optimizing my playstyle. I don't have to look at 3 different websites and their data to figure out which race/build is the latest and greatest. Your guide has given me soooo many "aha" moments. I can't thank you enough!
Omg thank you for doing this video, I just picked this game up and is going to save me so much time. I’m not new to MMOs but the massive amount of info you gave is going to help so much and save me a load of time from questing to setting up my UI
I finally decided to try the game. My Bf and I have been doing both Main Quests and as many side quests as we can, but a lot of things were a bit overwhelming. Thank you so much for providing a detailed guide it really does help!
I've been playing for 6 months and still found this useful. I didn't know you can get to the armory inventory with ctr I. I always get to it by going to the character page and painfully click on a random piece of equipment 🤣
Honestly mate, Im a new person who just bought the complete edition because I got bored of my other games and I have resisted this game for so long for some reason I do not know lol and I have to say, 16 minutes into your video i am already super informed on a bunch of things. You already told me I wanna be a White Mage before i have logged in. Thanks a lot for this video.
I just started to play this game and your guide is amazingly well done. Quick enough on each subject to not get bored, shallow enough to leave things to discover but still teaches all you need to know how to start, thank you for this!
I played a few major MMORPGs before like WOW etc but FFXIV is the one big game I have not tried yet. I’m downloading it while watching this video and I am so happy to have found this guide. I am sure I will be coming back over and over to this video to help me get started and have a smooth progression. Thank you for this awesome guide.
Thank you so much, just started playing ff14, I'm a loooong time veteran of mmo's and there are so many intricacies and small steps you will moss if you just jump in like wow. I'm now a full final fantasy convert and this video is a big part.
@@dylandelgross6758 went on steam bought it, got it sorted on my square Enix account and started playing, don't know what to tell you really, I wasn't even aware they had stopped anything.
That was a very informative watch. I've gotten to level 40 or so on a white mage and didn't even know half of the things until you mentioned them in the video. Thanks!
this is probably the best begginner's guide i've ever seen about anything. Thank you for this. I am waiting the game to be available again to buy it. This will be VERY helpful
I'm lvl 63 (scholar) and so much of this is new info to me. I still get impressed by the amount of content in this game. None of it really seems like busy work either, unlike some mmo's I've played. The story is actually entertaining too, which is almost an anomaly within the genre itself. I'm just all around pleased with ff14 and I wish my friends would play also.
I will be jumping in this Tuesday when the sea resume! Thank you very much for this tutorial, it gave me a lot of information that would have taken hours to figure out myself. I am really excited to get into the game! I already got a character that I created in the benchmark/character creation tool!
I’m 60 minutes into the game and so far I love it. I haven’t seen anything except the character creation menu but since I’ll most likely spend 60minutes more, I decided to watch beginner guides :)
I do want to say, I'm a FFIV player that plays and started on Playstation whos played enough where i know some differences but there's some things that I want to bring to light, I don't know about Xbox but I'll assume it's the same. 1. Just like PC having controller support, it's the same the other way around for console. You can connect a keyboard and mouse up through the USB ports and you can play the game on that or even have a mixed set up like doing button inputs on the controller but being able to type in chat with the keyboard. 2. When buying the game for the first time on console and even the DLC's do it through the actual console shop. Sometimes there's discounts and benefits that are most likely in the shop that aren't on the mog station. 3. Almost anything you can do on the PC version you can do on console, there are some restrictions if you don't have a keyboard hooked up but for the most part each version is completely the same so don't worry about buying a entire PC if you're afraid about missing out on some stuff. 4. You can buy the game again on multiple devices meaning if you have the game on Playstation with all the DLC's you can buy those again on PC and connect your account on PC and continue right where you left off on console but yes, you do have to buy the entire game and all the DLC's if you want to play on your account that you made on console. 5. Can't think/remember anything else :) Also even though I've played for around a year and I know a lot about the game it's always nice to watch beginner guides to see if there's something that I missed, like something in system settings or whatnot. Amazing video :)
Great guide! Might I add a bit of info on the glamour dresser? When you edit and save a glamour plate (accessible by your dresser) you can equip that in any main city so you don't need to go back to the inn to change styles (only if you to edit that plate) and you can have 18 plate slots so you can do many combinations!
Watched the whole vid, RIDICULOUSLY helpful. Even learned things where I thought I knew everything there was to know. Thank u so much for this brilliantly organized vid!!
Been playing FF games all my life, played 14 when it originally launched and what a state that was, then came A Realm Reborn and just wow. Don't need a guide myself but I still learned some stuff, sending this as a link to all FC members that still needing help or to anyone that ask me for it now. Keep up the good work, you earned a new sub
A true hero! Thanks man I really appreciate this. I learned so much from this. The effort and time you put into this is amazing. Def subscribed for more content.
As someone who moved over from WoW a few months ago~ and after spending a few months in FF14, I wish I woulda found this video sooner! Not only would it have helped my start out (Focusing on MSQ) but several tricks I learned by watching it! Thanks!
alot of beginner guides are usually cluttered with worthless knowledge and hard to retain alot as a new player because its so much info so fast but yours is literally perfect ,THANKS
I like how the moment I make up my mind and finally decide to get into Final Fantasy XIV, they shut down the ability to buy the game with no timeline for when it can be purchased again.
I have watched this guide at least half a dozen times. Most of those viewings were before ever starting the game (PS4). I'm still watching this guide about once a week, starting at the first video marker that I still don't understand or have forgotten the information about. The game still feels a bit overwhelming, but less in a, "too much info," way, and more in a, "I know there's so much that I don't even know about yet," way. Between this guide, and just diving in and playing, the game is slowly becoming one of my favorite experiences.
I'm new to ff14. I started about 2 months ago and still learned alot from this video. This is a huge game with alot of customizations that u can use to play the game the way u want to play. This video was also expertly scripted and edited. Well done. Super useful.
Was nervous buying the game because I didn’t know anything about FF.. This was explained beautifully and makes me feel so much better about playing. Great work!! Thank you!!
As a Family man is this worth playing. These days don't have much time to play but as a big ff fan I really want to. This is getting praised as one of the best ff so where does that put against some of the best my favs being vi vii and x and recent platinum of remake.
Another thing that you may love is this is an mmo that has stated they don't mind if you don't want to every single day. The gear you get is always relevant so you won't con back being any weaker then you currently are
I’m coming back to the game after a few years off, only half way through the video, but this super helpful! There is so much to this game and I couldn’t remember any of it!!
I was hardcore through out Heavensward and Stormblood. Life happened and I fell out of the game for a while. I resubbed when Shadowbringers released but only did the main content before having to cancel my sub again soon after. I'm back in the game now with Endwalker and have that same bright eyed eagerness I used to have back in the day and really want to dive into the infinite content I missed and new content coming out but it's VERY daunting. Even for someone who used to be hardcore about the game. So, so, so, so very much has changed and has been added. Thanks for this guide. It was helpful!!
I just started playing FF14 this past weekend and have been so overwhelmed with the volume of things to not only do but figure out. Thank you so very much for creating this video. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try out FF14, it'll make your journey so much smoother and more enjoyable.
I'm coming back to the game after 10 years of inactivity. My friends are doing their best to tell me about stuff but it's so much easier to follow via this video. Thank You!
As somebody who played the game for some hours (just finished heavensward) it was really hard for me to figure out some things like eather current and why it's important for flying. Even if you ask in novice chat sometimes you don't remember the name of what you are looking for. Like I have spent days of moving in zone without knowing how to unlock flying. And it's just one of the things. Whenever I've been asking in Novice chat how to get to a zone, let's say in Sea of Clouds, the answer was "well just walk there" so it's not very helpful if I may say so, so thank you so much for this guide. I cannot describe in words how helpful it has been. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7:28 Oh that's what those 3 letter codes were! I just started and meandered around the starting area a bit since I was advised to "just jump in" but I'm still keeping this bookmarked as a reference. Favorite noob-friendly feature I've found so far: The "automatically equip recommended gear" button. I can barely find my inventory, so that's pretty nice. Apparently at some point I found a ring of freedom, didn't even notice.
I'd make one correction to this video - the free trial IS accessible through Steam - you have to click the "Download Demo" button on the store page for the game
An actual life saver 😂I’m level 20 and I’m sitting here running in circles looking for my next main quest because my friends said it’s irrelevant in the hud so to stop displaying it 🤜

Awesome guide. Couldn't ask for better presentation as it was very much to the point! Subbed and liked!
Where is the free trial link ?
Free trial link
FYI you can join the free trial through Steam from the FF14 store page and clicking on "Download Demo"
Also I'd make clear the difference between Weaponskill/Spell being GCD and Abilities being OGCD.
Otherwise pretty comprehensive and good starterguide.
Am on console so am not sure if none of this matters cause all you can do may be pc only
I have a friend getting into 14 and I’ve been trying to help onboard him without overwhelming him, but it’s tough.
Hell ya! 😊 🙏
So it's all online no story mode?
Friends dont let friends get into 14 year olds.
@@richiegarcia4329 there is a main story but it's on online servers
I'm about to start playing with my brother. Hopefully he can coach me through the basics too
As someone who's finally getting into this game after years of being intimated by the sheer amount of content, I'm glad this guide exists! Thank you!
Its not the content its the stupid monthly payments
Monthly payments are very much what keeps the games going though. They are able to push quality content more quickly and abundantly.
The one time payment and f2p mmo's rely on heavy cash shops to get by (alot of times p2w), and still fail to put decent content and expansions out.
All in all, i'd rather have it this way. Support an mmo I like and in turn get quality back. And FFXIV is doing a great job at that.
How are you enjoying the game? I'm in the same position as you were. I'm a wow (classic) player but i just want to play something "new".
@@Dewkeeper gonna try it. Ty!
I'm a brand new player and started alone. This has helped me in some pretty big ways. I usually do side quests first in games so the advice to be choosy absolutely saved me. And showing us the menus and how customizable things are is so helpful. oh and the teleporting saved me so much time. Thank you so much
Not only the best FF14 guide, but maybe the most thorough and well-presented guide period. Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks so much!!
I didn't need 90% of this info, yet I still watched from beginning to end. Amazing guide, and incredibly well made content!
thank you! Glad you enjoyed :D
I've watched a lot of these beginner's guide videos and this is by far the best one I've seen. In fact I liked it so much I saved it so I can refer back to it. Great job man!

As a prospective new player I feel incredibly lucky to have found this guide. I agree with everything you said.
You’re guides saved me when i first got into eso. So happy this one came out just as im getting into ff14. Best guide content out there
dude, thanks so much!
Same, searched a guide amd was so glad as I saw his name
Lucky Ghost, you are master class at understanding who your audience is. This video is shockingly well put together. Each topic articulated clearly with respect to new players. I can’t thank you enough for taking the immense amount of time to put this together. Truly seems like this should be a sponsored video. I don’t believe I have ever watched an hour+ long TH-cam video all the way through. Until this one
I have to say
Super long video but man your speed is on point, you go fast enough so i dont get bored but give me enough details i get informed.
Many thx :)

I did the same thing with alt jobs. Used the Hunting Logs to level up that job quicker than the side quests or leves.
Incredibly comprehensive video, with not a second of wasted time or rambling. Exceptionally well done.
I haven't played since before the 1st expansion, but I've been strongly considering it. Thank you so much for this. I'm saving this for near-future reference.

Will be starting this tonight for the first time and this is one of the best beginner videos I’ve ever watched. Learnt so much before I even start the game. Great Video.
This is easly the most comprehensive and best time stamped FFXIV begninner guide I have seen, bravo sir.
I hope your wife got on board with you! More fun if youre playing the same game
Putting this together must have taken a lot of time and energy. It has helped me out so much and I cannot express enough how much this helped. Thank you Lucky Ghost
So glad!

Thanks
Dude i love you. Just got the game on xbox and was OVERWHELMED. this looks so fun!!!
Picking up the game this week when sales resume. Quality guide through and through. I don't know if I've ever watched one all the way through, but this one I did. Outstanding work.
I feel kinda torn. I want to try it, but others say to stay away because the load times/lag times are atrocious.
@@amanawolf9166 I got it yesterday and it's not bad at all. They have a new regional Oceana server up now, which has reduced load on other servers. I got into the EU server and during peak time the queue is about 20-25 but that's always within a minute or so. Have not seen much issues the the latency.
@@amanawolf9166 the game runs great
@@amanawolf9166 I know it’s 5 months later but picking it up on a mid scale pc 2070 super and a 3600 cpu. Game runs really well on my end.
I will definitely recommend this to new players ^^
I cannot stress enough the importance of having a HUD layout that looks and feels intuitive.
You can use the Plates in every Resting Zone. Which are basically every Places wir an Aetheryte.
Lucky Ghost, I am about to start FF XIV and your guide by far is the best one I ever found. Thanks for all the detail, down to the Nitty Gritty. Now my only problem is how to find a good Free Company to join.
feel free to join mine, if you find yourself on hyperion server (primal data center) ! just swing by my stream and we'll get you in!
I’m returning to FFXIV after a few years of not playing, so I wanted a refresher. Not only did I get that, but I learned new things as well. Phenomenal video, thank you!
Watched you when I started getting into ESO. I just started FFXIV two days ago and this has been incredibly helpful. Thanks so much!
This better than elder scroll online?

Just got into FF14 and this guide has been my saving grace, thanks for the time and effort put in this
As a new player in this MASSIVE game, this video is a gold mine, having it open on the 2nd monitor taking as much info as i can. Thank you !
Any time! Lol

Great job!
Love the editing on this one and wow look at all those timestamps! Super helpful! Great work!
A behemoth of a video that's FILLED with excellent tips - thank you very much, this had to have taken a while to produce 🙏
You're very welcome!

Honestly mate, Im a new person who just bought the complete edition because I got bored of my other games and I have resisted this game for so long for some reason I do not know lol and I have to say, 16 minutes into your video i am already super informed on a bunch of things.
5. Can't think/remember anything else :)
Also even though I've played for around a year and I know a lot about the game it's always nice to watch beginner guides to see if there's something that I missed, like something in system settings or whatnot. Amazing video :)
Best beginners guide by far. Thank you for the clarity.

I like how the moment I make up my mind and finally decide to get into Final Fantasy XIV, they shut down the ability to buy the game with no timeline for when it can be purchased again.
for real, it is so annoying
I have watched this guide at least half a dozen times. Most of those viewings were before ever starting the game (PS4). I'm still watching this guide about once a week, starting at the first video marker that I still don't understand or have forgotten the information about.
The game still feels a bit overwhelming, but less in a, "too much info," way, and more in a, "I know there's so much that I don't even know about yet," way. Between this guide, and just diving in and playing, the game is slowly becoming one of my favorite experiences.
I'm so glad to hear the video is helping to make it a great experience!
I'm new to ff14. I started about 2 months ago and still learned alot from this video. This is a huge game with alot of customizations that u can use to play the game the way u want to play. This video was also expertly scripted and edited. Well done. Super useful.
Wow thanks 😊
Was nervous buying the game because I didn’t know anything about FF.. This was explained beautifully and makes me feel so much better about playing. Great work!! Thank you!!
Glad I could help!
yes I used the free trial but got used up so I bought it and now I am going to start playing again
This game it’s a master piece for real
As someone who was very intimadated and confused starting out, this has been so incredibly helpful!
glad to hear it! good luck out there! :D
The gear you get is always relevant so you won't con back being any weaker then you currently are
As a returning player and old player I have to say that this is a very comprehensive video. I've shared it to many friends who have started playing.
Step 1: wait until you can purchase the game or free trial.
Insanely beneficial. Thank you for taking the time to make this; I can't imagine how long it took to record/edit, heh.
Thanks so much! And yeah this was a massive undertaking 😆 glad you enjoyed it, makes it all worth It!
Sheesh, I'm not even done watching yet and I gotta say thank you!
My pleasure my man!
This is exactly what I'm looking for and you explain it way better than I could to a friend. This is also timestamped so super good!
Ur realy good u should do dongeons guide too the way u explaine thing 👌🏻keep going !!
Thank you! 🙏
I’ve just started playing this game and I’m so overwhelmed lol.
Thanks for this video!!
I’m coming back to the game after a few years off, only half way through the video, but this super helpful! There is so much to this game and I couldn’t remember any of it!!
This man puts the plain into explain!
I'm only at 22 mins and I had to pause to updoot your vid and say that you're doing a damn job.
Best guide I've watched on FF14. Never played FF14, or for that fact any MMORPG before. This guide was super useful from start to finish
Wow! I've just hit level 45, and this has taught me so much that will be very useful now that I understand what these are. Thank you thank you!
