Hallelujah, I can't stand the videos where they change 4 variables at at time and adjust everything to make sure they are only hitting strikes... THAT IS WHAT WE ALL DO AT THE LANES. Thank you for the scientific approach. I just got a brand new !Q Tournament Blue (OEM) dilled here in Germany. It is 1 day old 5 games total. It is perfectly drilled, Germany doesn't mess around 4 hours of getting it honed in for my 16mph 400rpm tweener release. Full 4 inch flare on a 4x4x2 drilling. But after that, I could not figure out how to get into a rhythm. I don't have a symmetric pearl in my bag so i figured it wouldn't be trivial but I tried fast stroking up the 10, slow cranking across 25 boards... everything. I was stumped. Going up the right, came in way to hard I would miss the 8-9-10 depending on my breakpoint. The ball caught me off guard with how hard it would hit. I would shift over to the gutter on the left and play only oil. Great movement to the skid but it would just come in soft because the pearl needs the traction for its skid/flip so I would either explode the pins or leave a 7. Still nothing consistent. Watching my self-recordings, I really do think if I add a bit of grit ~3000 or so, it would get the pearl to start it's transition from sliding a little bit earlier. There is plenty of power available. Even from the outside it could still be skidding through the pins. This video definitely has me convinced I need to get a little bit more mid-lane read so that its ready to transition once it gets to the dry part of the lane.
It’s called aggressive advertisement. From what I’ve read all his products suck accept his sanding pads. Supposedly that wax is no different than car polish just priced higher and doesn’t perform well. His cleaners are complicated windex.
I think what helped me the most was seeing the graphic as to what board you were hitting as your target board and what board it started to move on and the view from above showing how much closer to the approach the hook began as you got more and more surface on the ball was extremely helpful , thank you so much !!
I wish i watched this earlier! Newer to bowling a bit more “seriously,” and I’ve been averaging 175 with my newer ball and learning how to hook. Today my wife and I went bowling and my first game I bowled a 150, which is my new minimum expectation. Then games 2 and 3 I bowled 106 and 115…yikes! I kept trying to change my throw, and see how it would react to the lane. Most of the time, it kept hooking too early! I forgot to take out the abralon pads in my bag and try them out and see where I could get some later hook! I’ll remember this for next practice ahead of league night. I’m also aware this can’t be done once league starts. So I’ll try it in sone practice games, and then have it on hand during practice round before league night.
What if i'm a low rev player? Right now i'm using a Supra Rally which is polished at 5500 and It barely hooks for me. I average around 14-15mph but it'll hook just a little bit since I don't put much spin on the ball. Will sanding the shine off help with my low revs?
How can it work on a 300 series ball cuz I want to do a curveball and I can't I tried it and it was not do a curve ball what am I fish to do to get it to curb
Great video sir! I'm a 190 average who's wanting to get that little extra. I'm m starting to realize how important a dynamic surface is. What would you recommend for a rev dominant, low speed 12 to 13 at the pins?
What is your average rev rate? In any case, under 13 mph will nearly always be too slow for a two-hander, so I suggest you should look into entry-level balls that hook very little. Storm Mix is a good option IMO. Although it's considered a spare ball, it's a urethane ball which means it is capable of generating a small amount of hook, but this amount might be just right for a bowler like you.
It's great that you can turn that ball that much but you need to do this demo for us older folks that don't throw as fast or getting the numbers of revs on the ball. If I used a 500 grit pad will it affect my ball a few boards or am I going to move 10 to 15 boards left. Thus I want to know what grit pad I want to use. Many of us seniors are throwing between 12 and 14 mph and with maybe 1/4 the revs. Do an example of this for seniors.

Nice video explaining each grit! However, that was some rough bowling! Its okay to demonstrate what each shot would look like on a similar line, however, it would have been nice to see how each shot from arrow/breakpoint would look like for each shot hitting the pocket if that was possible.

Is this polish actually any good? Everyone says it kinda sucks and doesn’t react well and it might just be repackaged car polish. What’s your thoughts on it? Only guy I see review it is this dude who makes 10000 of the same videos of his own product to make it seem like it’s super popular.

I use the CTD products - ALL of them - I'm not a PBA Pro ........... they do what they say they will do ....... bowling products are like cars...... people like what they like ...... nothing wrong with advertising and show casing your product............ in many cases I find the products to be on par or SUPERIOR to some of the others I USED to use.

I gotta tell you that the tru-cut isn't too great compared to a few other polishes. It's too expensive and there are other comparable automotive polishes with the same compounds in them that are much cheaper. Just be careful and take a look at what's on the shelf before applying to your balls. Same with your vehicle!

I use a Pitch Black as a spare ball. What grit should I put on it? (My speed is relatively slow ... 12-13 mph)

Lowest is a 180grit pad. I've used it on my Crux prime once and it felt so weird...
Only one missing was factory finish 1500 plus polish ? Why they did 1500 and then polish ? And not 5000grit ?

Can I assume you are sliding at the same spot? Is it the surface not allowing the ball to project as far to the left?
lower grit= more friction. more friction= earlier hook
higher grit= less friction. less friction= later hook
So if the lanes are really dry and slower ball speed what surface is best to use?

Love this but there are cheaper ways to go. The products from this place is outrageous. That polish is $50 add a little more & buy another ball
