i just love how this captures the essence of what the true mermaids are like. their mystery and beauty, all a trap. they did an AMAZING job with this scene. i think this was a big success for disney :)

I'm not sure about California, but they did add the mermaids AND Blackbeard in Orlando. Right before the drop, if you look in the water, the mermaids swim past your boat. Nobody believed me the first time we went on it, so the second time I told them to watch the water, and sure enough, there they were. And "My Jolly Sailor Bold" is playing when they swim past. It's pretty awesome. :)
