Can't go wrong with the Vizio E series. I bought a 55 inch, a 40 and two 32s. I went 1080p on em'. The 4k is not worth the expense. Went with the vizio sound bar and sub woofer on the 55, and a 29 inch sound bar on the 40. Sound quality is outstanding. I was a hardcore Sony buyer in the past, but the vizio quality is a great buy for people converting out the old CRT boxes.
The one I bought last year was to replace my Panasonic 42" which was fried by a lighting jolt, Now this one will go into the bedroom and I'm going to go buy at least a 42" for the front room. This size is just not large enough to read the guide from the sofa but is a goood TV with built in Roku

The Amazon spec sheet says the refresh rate is 120Hz, and somehow also says it's 240Hz. That gives me doubts, though it could easily be a typo. Is the 120Hz refresh rate legit, or is it simulated?

The wifi is used to connect to your router so you can stream from your internet connection. I mostly use the ethernet connection to watch movies from Amazon.

+Carroll Ware I hooked up a keyboard to the USB port and it worked. There is only one USB port on this model so if you want to use a keyboard and mouse you need a usb dongle with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I did find out though that this Vizio does not have a browser like chrome. It just has specific apps so you can't browse the web with it. Samsung SmartTVs have a built in browser.

Try unplugging the TV and then hold down the power button on the back lower left corner for 60 sec. Remove the batteries from the remote. Plug in the TV and then install batteries into the remote and see if the remote works again.

Question, if I may… My Vizio (M55-C2) keeps reverting to it's factory settings - specifically, I'm adjusting the "Reduce Judder" and "Reduce Motion Blur" settings to 0 (they default at 5), and then 5 or 10 minutes later I notice my movie's motion looking goofy again and I check and sure enough "Reduce Judder" and "Reduce Motion Blur" are magically back to 5… (Not powering the TV off or anything, just happens as I'm still watching.) Anyone know how to get the changed settings to stay changed?

i purchased this same tv, i like it...but o nly problem i now have is my remote just came to a stop and wont work, the vizio tv remote...i changed batterys and still nothing..i touched every button and nothing..my cable remote turns the tv on and off and still changes the channels, but only my vizio was able to turn volume up and down and then go into my settings and use my wifi apps...this tv also has no manual buttons for volume which makes it more of a problem..
thanks, i took batterys out and waited 30 seconds, did not work to reset the remote...so then i unplugged my tv for 30 seconds and it rebooted and my remote works again now...but stupid stupid of them to make the tv without any manual buttons for volume, channels, menu....
well i put the remote in rice and let sit for few hrs and its working again. whew. still dont know how to use tv without remote. vizio needs to do better ..

The E-series does not support Sling TV. The more expensive models like the P-series that are 4K TVs have Sling TV. I read that Vizio had partnered with Google to build Chromecast directly into the TV.
I can't say because I don't use it for gaming. If you go to amazon and look at the customer questions and answers section and type in gaming there are mixed reviews. Some people say it's great for gaming others say there is a lag problem.

You can use your cell phone hot spot to send a wifi signal to your tv, even if you have a unlimited plan on your 📱 phone your data is going to run 🏃 out. So it's better to add internet to have it in your house. My

If you can get into the menu with the app it is under system. Under system the menu will show panoramic, wide, zoom or standard

You have to unplug the TV and remove the batteries from the remote. Wait a minute and plug the TV back in and then install the remote batteries.
