Hi bill. Great video. Really helped me with the shooting aspect. I’m a total amateur and found your page purely because I’d like to do a couple of videos for my construction website. I think what I have is ok. But not sure what to do to improve it. Is there anyway I can post it for you to have a look and get some tips on what to do? I’m into photography as a hobby so I kind of understand that realm but I’ve never dabbled with video. Totally understand if not but if you don’t ask you don’t get as they say
Sure Post them to your TH-cam and Ill check it out when I get 5 In the meantime check out some of the videos on my channel . Like these th-cam.com/video/zrVcwMh50wE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/2EijhLvruQo/w-d-xo.html
@@billbuckleytutorials thanks so much for coming back to me. Here is the link. I’ve done a fair bit of tweaking myself. The quality is really bad when uploaded to TH-cam compared to the original. I uploaded to a reel on insta and it seems fine on there. Things I don’t like and couldn’t find a fix. When panning I tried to be careful but it still feels spinney in places. Recorded directly with iPhone camera so colour isn’t as consistent regarding WB The ending doesn’t fade out as well as I would like with the music. And I’m not keen on the track but the non copyright material is limited. I do think it keeps pace fairly well with the transitions though. Also you’re welcome to use this if doing future tutorials and want to use it for critique purposes. Etc Many thanks. Jon th-cam.com/video/3DRHcprauJQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4SqrkLeoR37FGjS6
@@xgreenjacket Jon: video doesnt look bad. 1. Try to use the black magic App which is free and allows you to adjust more things 2 Try to shoot more still images . If you are going to add movement like walking. Buy a phone gimbal. This will make it smoother. 3. Because your using the iPhone native APP you have much less control. 4 If you are going to use the native app. Before shooting any screen press & hold the screen . That will bring up a yellow box . This will lock exposure and white balance. 5. Using a 3rd party App you can set a setting to " lock WB on record" -Making it easy if you forget. 6. On the iphone. Make sure you are setting the highest settings go to setting/camera select 4K 30 fps . Or 4K 60fps ( if you want to slow down footage in post) 7. As far as editing and music the best place IMO for music is artlist . You can use any music you download on any project copyright free .( see their licence) 8 when you export your video for youtube . Expost with as high quality as you can . 4K and make sure thes Kbps are at least 30 kpbs. Or if you using Premiere it has an automatic output setting for youTube. Or use Capcut which is free ( so is Davinci resolve but it's a steep learning curve ) Heres some links to help you th-cam.com/video/ILVWRfrR6gk/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/4LDbloNewgk/w-d-xo.html Cheers Hope it helps
@@billbuckleytutorials Thank you very much. For your feedback. I did do most of those things mentioned. Because I watched your video ( thankfully before shooting it),so I locked AF but o wasn’t sure if that also locked WB. I also made sure to select the other things you mentioned. I was short on time and didn’t watch the whole video so I assumed when you were talking about the 3rd party apps you were talking about post. I did also export with those settings so I don’t know why the quality on here was so bad but it’s not really important as long as it works where I want it to. Thank you for the tips for music though and for the feedback and also it’s good to know it’s not terrible. I didn’t really have the time on the job to prepare for the shoot so had to go from the hip with what I had. I did attempt to slow it down a little in post but it made things jerky even at 60fps. Maybe because I was just using the native setup. Also lighting wasn’t great and I kept getting a warning about it but multiple rooms with different lighting I guess needed to be shot seperately and edited together. Again not a luxury I had. But anyway thank you bill. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and respond and if I shoot in future I’ll refer back to your recommendations and try and allow more time. Also I didn’t realise how easy it was to stitch things together in post as I’ve not played around with it before. I used CapCut. But in future I know it’s not so tough so I’ll be more inclined to stitch more shorter ones together and cut out the walking etc 👍🏻
@@xgreenjacket as far as jerky video if your shooting at 60fps make sure your timeline is 30 fps. and not 24 . And yes you have no control of the shutter speed in the native App. It will adjust every tiem you move the phone to keep exposure to what it thinks is best. I would suject just doing a couple of 15 ec clips in your yard for exaple. ( take a clip of a bush or the dog etc ) Your not doing as bad as you think But definatly download and start using the blck magic camera app. this way you can have much more control!! Cheers Bill
I recently got Cinema P3 Pro for iPhone 15. The live view screen latency is really a problem. Not so with the iPhone native APP. Any information on APPs that are more responsive?
All of the phone Apps have this lag . You might try the new Black magic App and it's FREE. Check out my overview here th-cam.com/video/zrVcwMh50wE/w-d-xo.html Cheers Bill
@@oscarjackson6849 I really do like Both . I think the secret is choose 1 App and try to learn all its features well. Maybe the black magic App being FRee would win if I had to choose LOL
are you getting the lag even when using the Live view setting. As mine looks good. Under settings / video stabilization/ there is a "blue globe" that says "stable view" . If this is set you will get the lag. Click this and set it to "live view " and the lag is much better !. also all apps have this but the free black magic app seems to do well with the lag . Cheers Bill
Thank You! This is a very concise video that has really helped me work with my favorite camera app Cinema P3. Much appreciated.
You are very welcome!
We need this type of content more ..much usefull thank ✌️
you are very welcome!
Here's an example of the stabilize modes in Cinema P3 App for the iPhone. when doing Handheld footage ...Enjoy!
Such a useful, video. I'm a beginner using CinemaP3 on my iphone12pm so this was very helpful. Thank you!!!
You are very welcome.. Glad it helps. Cinema P3 is a great little APP

Now you can remove preview lag in cinemaP3 but keep in mind don’t work with 60fps
You used Iphone 12 pro max?
Actually it's an iPhone 13 pro max
