Where I determine if the vague connection could have roots in Jojo. As in the Legion of the Stationery have: >Mista + Sex Pistols but he went into Polnareff's body with accent during another (earlier) Chariot Requiem. >I forget any director or perfectionist archetypes but the ability is Trish's Spice Girl. >Vanilla Ice + Cream because he took out the Sun but with Okuyasu + The Hand intelligence because he was doing it to disco all night rather than vampire reasons. >Josuke + Crazy Diamond and you already figured out. (I already pieced that together before too, same wavelength there) >Anubis (sword) but doubled for legs, perhaps very literally, like doesn't even need a wielder anymore. >Pet Shop + Horus if you squint and think the staples work like Horus pressure-based ice freezing together and despite being like Iggy's species, the opponent/killer of Pet Shop, but Stapler is Olly's guard juet like Pet Shop. Bonus Vellumentals: Iggy + The Fool*, Angelo + Aqua Necklace, Avdol + Magician's Red, Ghiaccio + White Album. *There's not a lot of true terrekinetic/earthbending Stands where the whole shtick is manipulating the element.
Another bonus: Breath of the Wild runes (plus the 2 new sequel ones) are Stand abilities. Magnesis = Risotto's Metallica. As Risotto has much more control over manipulating the metal's trajectory than Mariah's Bastet via electromagnetism. >Stasis = Sale's Kraft Work. Sale literally tapped on the static bullets to build up momentum. >Cryonis = Pet Shop's Horus. Unlike White Album, Horus doesn't drop the surrounding area's temperature in order to form ice. Cryonis and Horus seem to form ice from pressure. >Bombs = Yoshikage's Killer Queen. I feel this is self-explanatory. >Camera = Joseph's Hermit Purple. Taking picture of something helps you track it later, vaguely closer than Yoshihiro's Atom Heart Father which frames environments. >Master Cycle Zero = Kei's Born This Way. I haven't read Jojolion. I just searched "motorcycle stand jojo". Although ZZ's Wheel of Fortune is a car, it can be riden, which IDK if Born This Way can be or only the Stand. >BOTW2 trajectory rewind = Abbacchio's Moody Blues + Ringo's Mandom. As it works like Stasis and rewinding momentum for a select object with Moody Blues able to retrack where an object went, but as it has a more literal time effect, despite Mandom having a more world time effect for reversing. >BOTW2 surface jump rune = Secco's Oasis. It appears to allow Link to ascend through solid objects, even having a watery effect like the ground is shifting through a temporary liquid phase. In fact I'm just gonna fandub the rune "Oasis" as it even ends in the same suffix as every official rune name.
@@WoeUponThee I mean it's a smart game design choice because there's many Stand abilities you can build entire games with that central mechanic. That's the great part of how Jojo changed the game for magic; take the diverse power sets found in Marvel and DC comics but there's a unifying scaling and acquiring method, so you don't need to have origins like one bitten by nuclear spider, another one trained in magic arts, and even one simply born with a unique gene all in the same world, while also avoiding say how Dragon Ball allows anyone through to learn and master similar or nearly identical moves but mainly serve the same purposes.
Personally I think it is the worst one of the 3 I have played (original, TTYD). The battle system was not good, a lack of companion characters and parts where you don't have them at all and even the environmental puzzles seemed to be at a minimum.

Where are the things like: - A forest that gives multiple paths in each section, but all except one send you back to the beginning. The correct one is found by studying clues in the background. For example, one has flowers where the others don't, one has a different type of flowers to the rest, one has flowers that sway when interacted with where the rest disappear. - A seemingly abandoned empty house, where a shy guy enters, sees you, screams and runs out. Until you find the Boo companion who turns you invisible, at which point the shy guy walks to the back and flips over a hidden panel, which gives you entrance to the Shy Guy Toybox zone. - Hidden blocks and panels that can only be found by turning invisible yourself and ground pounding near them respectively. That's the kind of thing I am talking about. Not just a few platforming sections that you have to find a hidden entrance to.

I've heard the game isn't amazing but man it has some nice tunes.
People's opinions on this one vary. I for one had a lot of fun with it, certainly one of the best games I played on Switch.
