The over reliance on Batman is not just a Lego problem, it’s a problem with almost all of DC stuff, especially outside of the comics
Same with Marvel and Spider-Man, they're just incredibly marketable
even in comics. Just look at how many batman series are currently coming out. DC is milking this cow untill it runs out, and let be honest it never will

I think it’s because Batman is a very grounded character with flaws and feels like a real person and that makes him interesting. Most of dc characters are way to OP and it’s harder for people to like those characters I think.
I’m with you on the cowls, it can be so boring getting the same head and mould over and over and I really wish they’d make more DC characters like Clayface in minifigure style and Andrea aka Phantasm, it would be SO COOL to have her!

3:25 If i remember correctly it was because some people were having trouble putting the armour piece on the cape so lego removed it from some versions of the set

Honestly, the one thing I really love about the Michael Keaton Batman that comes with the '89 Batmobile and Batwing, is how the cowl/cape are only exclusive to those sets.
I think some people hate how you can't get his head to turn because of the cowl not being able to turn with the head, but to be fair, Michael Keaton and the stunt doubles had that same problem, and had to turn their whole bodies to look in a certain direction - creating the "Bat-Turn."
So you can't say it's not accurate.
For me it’s the molded cape. It’s really cool looking, but for anything else it’s… limited. If lego does make another Keaton Batman I hope they’ll make one where the cape is separate so it’s more customizable.

Yeah there should be more DC stuff that isn’t just Batman, hopefully they’ll do sets for Black Adam and Aquaman 2 (although it’ll probably just be one for each of them at most).
Unpopular opinion: the Robert Pattinson’s Batman is my favorite we’ve gotten yet. Just replace a few parts and you’ll have the best Batman mini figure ever

1:03-2:07 I definitely agree with you, LEGO needs to stop relying so much on Batman just because he's the most popular and well-known character from DC. There are so many other great DC characters that we still haven't gotten in minifigure form yet. Hopefully the Tower of Fate set rumor is true so we can finally get Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Black Adam, and Klarion as minifigures
So true and when it comes to Batman movies and stuff they seem to always bring in the Joker 🃏 even tho Williem Dafoe should still play the role… getting off point. I wouldn’t actually mind to see some characters like ClayFace, Mr freeze, Hugo Strange, perhaps a small brief role of Firefly in the Robert Pattinson Batman trilogy
@@Mexican20067 Exactly, once again, he's the most popular, so they rely on him the most. Those would be great characters to see, this is the perfect opportunity for them to do villains like that. I've never really thought about that before, but Willem Dafoe could totally play The Joker 😂 He's played Green Goblin before and they're very similar villains so that could totally work
@@the_messageman yeah and also a fun fact before Jack Nicholson Williem Dafoe was gonna play the joker in Batman 1989 and honestly it’s a crime he hasn’t played the role yet he’s got the prefect laugh and his face shape is exactly like the Joker comics pretty much

My dude, if you wanna make the NWH final swing suit, use the 2012 Spidey torso and the 2021 version’s head, arms, and dual molded legs. Use the CMF Peter head and hair too if you want, it looks perfect compared to the movie.
The Battinson figure is even more upsetting when they include an alternate, more accurate face to replace the head with.
I might have a way to fix your dust problem. I'm using pencils and tissues to rub off the dust from my legos. It doesn't fix the problem of the dust coming back, but it sure is satisfying to see my legos all cleaned up. So if you have some free time, you could try using that technic. Another suggestion, do it outside or open your window when you are doing it, or you'll be sneezing alot.
It always has to be Batman because each of the other charecters you asked about have nothing to build, they don’t use gadgets or vehicles they just have a ability’s

I think in order for Lego DC to feel diverse they should do what they did with Marvel, where they took the most popular character (Spider-Man) and gave him his own line while putting the other characters (the Avengers) in their own line. T.L.D.R I think Lego should put Batman in his own line and make a new line for the Justice League

I haven’t tried this yet, but a good solution for the Pattinson cowl is using the type 3 cowl and shaving down the sides. Then again, I haven’t tried it, so idk.
I agree, we NEED more cowl pieces. I was so disappointed when The Batman sets had the generic cowl

One thing really sucks is that LEGO make sets containing minifigures (Shazam, Suicide Squad) that are supposed to be in real sets. For example, in 2019, Shazam! comes out but LEGO just produce an inaccurate Shazam minifigure in a Batman (again?) set, instead of making a whole set for the film.
I have a strong feeling half of this series is gonna be about Batman considering how many sets there are
I'd really love to see some arrowverse lego sets. It would be cool to see the TV show version of the flash. Or even the green arrow. I'm a big fan of arrow, the flash, dc's legends of tomorrow, supergirl, batwoman, pretty much all of the shows. I've even been rewatching all the things I've missed.

With all the over abundance of Batman, it’s not like they include new Batman characters in the sets. Aside from a new Nightwing and Batgirl last year, we barely get new batman characters in those sets. Like we’re still missing so many, Red Robin, Spoiler, Hush, clayface (as a minifigure), Cassandra Cain, Signal, etc. personally, I’m fine with more Batman, as long as the Batman stuff is good, and it’s been kinda disappointing.

Lego DC should do more Justice League theme sets, I personally think they could do a lot of sets just using the Green Lantern theme the amount of characters they could pull from using the Yellow Lanterns or Red Lanterns would add lots of potential for set diversity, I also think they could do more with Superman he has lots of unused adversaries but I like getting mini figures of obscure characters

Oh because the gosh darned BatGod is essentially what gave dc comics it’s namesake which in retrospect is called Detective Comics comics and his world basically encompasses everything in the Dc realm and outshines other franchises outside dc since he is the ultimate style of heroes because he is a vigilante who practically is portrayed to be a loner with a family of robins and other supporting characters and has a huge rogues gallery that can possibly in the future out other villains like the xenomorphs and Hannibal letter to shame
Still this is good skit actually pointing out the obvious that DC loves there cash cow above all else but just for some food for thought, gi ko started the pops with batman and never stopped making lord knows how much variants and costumes for him and his robins at this point in time

The reason the armored batman doesn't come with a cape is because when you got the set the cape would rip it's self apart

Unfortunately the cowls problem is that they would use the movie accurate cowls for premium sets like the ultimate Collection Batwing and Batmobile so it possible seeing the Patterson cowl in an ultimate Collection set 5 to 10 years later
