Great tutorial mate , don't think i will be buying a vax . I thought changing a belt in a Kirby was entailed ,lol. You can see how good the vax brings up the pile on your mat though.

Yea I'd stick to Kirbys! Their not bad performers. Your right, they have very stiff brushrolls, and a fair amount of airflow too. It just only lasts about 4/5 months before it needs maintenance! I've done barely anything to my Sentria 2 since getting it bar changing the bag, and it's working fine!

Beko1987 I finally invested in a airflow meter so I can check all the cfm on my kirbys . Also invested in a 4K camcorder Misses wasn’t happy with me spending so much on my channel. He ho , you have to do what you enjoy 😉

Judging by how weak the casing is when you stretch the belt to fit it (it bent towards you 😨), not looking forward to having to change mine when it goes.
That's if I ever manage to find some post motor filters 😤

Cant imagine what it would be like to change the belt on my Air Cordless when it does snap! (assuming i haven't sold it due to being bored with it)

    Where to buy this belt

Ebay. Type the full model number in followed by belt and you'll see it (they'll fit alot of different machines as the belt size didn't change but buy one with a listing specifically mentioning your model for easier returns if they send the wrong belt etc)

Thats one of the worst sounding motors I've ever had to listen to. My ears are still ringing from its severe shrillness - even worse than a Dyson DC07. They didnt sell these type for very long, I remember them being in Argos a few years back, for sub £100 prices. In the US these are the cheapest of the cheap Dirt Devil models, because as we know, TTI owns pretty much everything made in China these days, Vax, Oreck, Hoover (US), Dirt Devil etc. That machine has been designed to make repairing it a right pain in the arse to do, removing that many screws and the height control knob and mechanism, and then having to go online, find a belt correct for the machine, and then wait for it to be delivered, is not something your average user would do, and Vax know it, they expect the hateful contraptions to be slung on the dump when the belt goes. The height of cheap and nasty made in China rubbish these are.

Could'nt agree with you more. Vax are crap, their vacuums are cheap flimsy.

It's sad that vax's machines aren't good quality anymore really, because Vax used to make great Vacs, their carpet washers are still decent but maybe not quite as long lasting as a Bissell. I think it's a real shame Hoover stopped making their machines here in the UK too.
Numatic are the only company to still make their machines here now as far as I know.
Numatic's are the best British Vac's in my opinion, they're cheap to buy, are great quality and ridiculously reliable and are also easy to repair on the very rare occasion something goes wrong with one, and finally they're made here in Britain 🇬🇧
P.S. Will you be bringing your vacuum channel back?
