Needles and Pins Willy DeVille

From the bootleg album Tramps New York 3.6.99. The song was written by Jack Nitzche and Sonny Bono and was recorded by many other people. The most famous recording was by The Searchers who had a massive hit with it in 1964. Apparently Willy forgot the words to start with so 'The Band Played On'. like the professionals they were. Eternal thanks to my friend Art461 for this and so much more of Willy's music.
